I stayed here for 4 nights and it was a okay room although I didn't find their bathrooms to good. There was just a hole in the floor for the water to go out. Furthermore their hostel and reception was in two different buildings down the road from each other. There was no real help from the staff and when... More

After long travel, arrived at akwa and the lady who greeted me was lovely, people say about speaking English but you're in Thailand... The room wasn't the cleanest and had stayed in cheaper hostels which were a lot cleaner but one of those things. Went out to do some "tourist-y" things and when I returned to the room the aircon... Not recommended for people who are prone to respiratory disorders. The room was wet (ventilation did not help) and poorly cleaned. Perfect place for mold. A sore throat is guaranteed. A broken glass was found on the balcony. Seemed like no one took care of it for a long time. The place is noisy.

Arrived for our stay in koh samui was greeted by two members of staff who could barely greet us in English. The manager or owner then took our outstanding payment which he eventually charged us for twice due to his lack of knowledge on how to use a card terminal. The "concierge" then showed us to our room, the room... More

The location is great, just across the road from chaweng beach. Our room was big and had air con, but it was not clean at all, the bed had hair in it, the floor was gritty and filthy, and the towels were severely stained and falling apart. Also, there were ants everywhere, all over the bathroom and we found a... More

We loved koh samui and decided to stay longer. For a 4 persons family last minut turned out really hard to book something with a reasonable price. I checked akwa and was a quite good price and I saw the pictures it looked nice and clean. The towels were all broken, like old, the floor and forniture, dusty, the toilette... More

Great value for money. We booked a value deal via booking com for two nights. Our room at the second floor, just in front of the stairs. Really one of the nicest rooms we had during our Thailand trip. The room was absolutely clean enough and the bed large and comfortable. Staff very helpfull (specially the girl with the back... More

Recently stayed for 6 nights at start of July in penthouse. Good value for money. Penthouse big sized room with big balcony to relax and chill out on after a day touring the island or sending on the beach. Resturant in amin building offers a good selection of food with friendly staff. Slight downfalls are the steep stairs, due to... More

Such a disappointment, emailed stating we would arrive around 1030pm, Martin assured us he would be there. Dropped off at Akwa as per directions, opposite Poppies. However note on door to go down the road 500meters. Dragged our luggage down the road, luckily we glanced down a lane way to spot the Awka Guesthouse. Met by a man who showed... More
