We stayed in the Samui Amanda in September 2007. It was our first trip to Thailand and as a couple in our early thiries, we wanted a nice play to stay that wasn't in the very busy (but lovely beach!!) Chaweng. The Hotel is on the North West side of the Island near a port called Nathon. Nathon is quite... more

We just returned from the Amanda resort and were extremely unsatisfied. The resort has only two family bungalows - one with the sea view and one with "garden view". As we got the last one, it turned out it is not garden but "kitchen back door view". Quite depressive. We asked for another bungalow, but they were all full at... more

We stayed there over the weekend in last week of October (low season) , unfortunatelly the weather was very wet and the sea was weavy and far away from the usual postcardview from Thailand. The club is smal, very private, very quiet and set up with charme but has been quite scruffy (gardening, flowers and fishtank) and lazy cared off... more

We are a coulple in our mid thirties and stayed at the Samui Amanda Resort in August. The Resort itself was lovely, rooms a bit basic but clean. . . . but absolutely nothing going on there. There were no other restaurants or shops in the immediate vicinity,a 20 minute stroll down a busy main road brought you to a... more

Wow what a place. the staff are great, and always try there best to help you. we stayed in the honeymoon suite, I would recomend this or a beach frount as you are only about 5 meters from the beach. Very good food at good prices. you are away from the main town but if you want the naff tacky... more

We stayed at the Samui Amanda for 2 weeks in June 2007. From the moment we got there the staff were extremely helpful and lovely. The pool area is lovely and the resort has an authentic thai charm about it. Yes, it is arouns a 25 minute taxi ride to Chaweng, but is that a bad thing?! Just enjoy the... more

The resort is absolutely lovely and the staff are very pleasant and go out of their way to help you. The private beach is lovely and you do get stunning sunsets. If you were going as a family or couple who are looking to get away from it all, then the Samui Amanda is ideal. I would just like to... more

Plymouth, England. We have just returned from a delightful nine days at the Samui Amanda. If you're looking for somewhere with numerous bars and restaurants nearby then this is NOT the place for you - it's a world away from the loud and garish nightlife that has made Samui so popluar with the Brits. However if peace and quiet is... more

We were going to stay at the Amanda Resort but in the last minute changed to somewhere else in Samui because of some reviews around the shallowness of the beach at Amanda's. Out of curiosity we went to check the resort out and even had a chance to look at the bungalows. There is no doubt that Amanda is a... more
