The hotel from the outside looked very nice. A little tired but right by the sea we didn't expect anything different. We were taken to our room on the 1st floor. Had help with our bags as there is no elevator but we knew this from previous reviews. Got to the room. The duty manager opened the door, quickly pulled... More

i stay here every year, and love the place, the gardens are superb, breakfasts are now fantastic, lots of fruit, no rush to get sunbeds on the beach, no one seems to leave towels on like most hotels, beach and location is great, 10 minutes from the noisy nightlife, pool is also good and never crowded.

Location is great. Staff friendly. Breakfast good. Being at the cheaper end of the accommodation side of things the beachcomber is (as it says, 3 star accom). It is quite an old place and the facilities are quite dated, although comfortable. We stayed in a superior room, (middle of the road, in terms of cost) on the 3rd floor. Only... More

This is a cheaper hotel and you get what you pay for. I'm currently staying At this hotel and have been here for 2 weeks. The location is in my opinion the best you can get on the beach. It's about a 5 min walk to arc bar which is the party bar on the beach. But it's not too... More

We checked in for 5 nights and left after 1. It's a very expensive hotel compared to what it offers. It definitely needs an upgrade. The only pro is the location which is on the beach. But then there are so many other hotels on the beach next to it which definitely looked much better. The mattress was horrible. We... More

we stayed for a week, then left and hurried back for 15 more days: we found here all we needed, includind wifi in the rooms and on the beachfront, a bonus that pleased my teenager son. people were helpful, kind and funny. food at the beach restaurant was excellent, both the asian and the western dishes cooked and prepared to... We absolutely loved beachcomber. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the ground floor and it was beautiful one double and one single bed fresh flowers layed on top. Free bottled water and toiletries for the price we weren't expecting much and it's only a five min walk to ark bar (the liveliest bar on the... More

This hotel has definitely seen better days. It is worn and definitely in need of an upgrade. Staff are friendly but probably because of language problems (strangely, enough, they are not Thai), not too efficient. The only exceptions perhaps being the Front Desk Manager (Christina Gordovez) and a guy from Myanmar who tends the breakfast station. The location of the... More

We researched where we wanted to stay in Chaweng for weeks. We live and work in Thailand and came to Samui for a rest and a holiday. We thought the lower end of Chaweng would be nice and quiet. We couldn't have been more wrong. The Duke Pub is over the road from the hotel and plays live music until... More

This property is in a great location in Chaweng, backing onto the beach where they supply sunchairs for their guests to enjoy the sun watching the goings on. The rooms are fairly basic, but that's all we were after as we spent most of our time on the beach or walking around town. Plenty of mozzies in the room which... More
