We chose this hotel using Tripadvisor and the price. Had no knowledge of Koh Samui. Easy to get to from airport. Rooms had little storage and were not as big as some Thai hotels but they were clean and comfortable with DVD player and bottled water provided. We spent two nights at the Chaweng Regent hotel and found it to be a great value (roughly $150/nt incl fantastic breakfast buffet). The two pools are beautifully landscaped. The food is fantastic. The rooms are well appointed and the staff is very courteous and helpful. We did not like Koh Samui, however, and would not recommend it to anyone.... more

I would recommend this place to anyone considering staying in koh samui. The rooms are very spacious and hot overlooking one of the pool areas. There is access to the beach from the rear of the resort and the front of the resort has shops and everything else you would want. Walking distance to shops restaurants bars etc..
