Our friend was staying here so we booked in, didn't spend time looking elsewhere. The room was basic but at a good price, it was clean and had air conditioning (which were the main things as we were out most of the time). There was a fridge in the room, fresh drinking water supplied daily and you could have your... More

Sripoom House was recommended in 2013 November when we wanted to stay for 10 days or so by our trusted friend Mr Adam. This is located less than 1 minute walk from major food and drink joints in the area or main mot road where we can get song thaew (red car). Very decent, makes one feel like staying long... More

I notice one review mentions a "rooster" that will start crowing early. Make that a dozen or so fighting cocks that are trained next door letting rip every AM. I get up early anyway, so no problem for me. I stayed here the last two Novembers and while everyone is nice, in Nov. 2013 the service had to be coaxed.... More

For 2 people the price is nice, for 1 expensive, rooms are spacious, nice aircon. Location is nice, walking distance to lots of Chiangs Mai attractions. Theres a restaurant beside it that wonderful for all ur meals - breakfast, lunch, early dinner!

We have just spent 2 weeks here and it has gone down in service since we stayed here 2 years ago. The rooms are still spacious and light and the beds comfortable ( for Thai beds that is) however the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The bed sheets were nice and clean but when we removed the lower... More

I stayed here with my wife for 2 weeks in February. The value for this place was really good. There are quite a few guest houses in the area, but it was really nice to be so close to everything happening. The night bazaar was only a 5-10 minute walk from here. Someone wrote that the place was quiet, at... More

Stayed one month, so discount daily rate was fair. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Service poor and linen / towels changed only once a week (often needing reminders). Not good enough. The place is run down. Little or no routine maintenance since new 8 years ago. (stayed then and it was smart and well run). The electronic access... More

We stayed at Sripoom House for 5 nights in the beginning of November. The location and prices are perfect! The owner is nice and friendly. Chose this place because they are pets friendly and allowed us to stay with our cat :) The bed was comfortable, we slept very well (very quiet place in spite of central location), cool night... Great place to stay that always delivers. Located in Soi1 inside the moat, this guest house is within close proximity to all the major attractions in Chiang Mai. It is far enough away from the rabble but still has some nice little bars that are less likely to be of the "girlie" nature. The rooms are big and always clean.... More

I usually stay around the corner at Tri Gong Guesthouse but it was full during Loy Krathong. Sripoom House 1 was slightly less expensive than Tri Gong and the rooms were almost as nice. The best parts were: good mattress, small balcony off room and bigger balcony in front (shared hallway), nice staff. The room was clean, the towels oversized,... More
