Our first night in Chiang Mai after a very long trip was spent in the Shangri-La Hotel - we were thrilled to be treated to a beautiful lobby, a lovely staff who welcomed us with a hot towel and refreshing drink at check-in and a fabulous bed in an air-conditioned room to sleep off the miles and the time change.... The restruant (evening and morning buffets) very absolutely spliendid! .. Huge variety! Chef was willing to cook you whatever you felt like. Our visit was short (only three days), but we had a beautiful view overlooking the swimming pool and gardens as well as views of the city from our corner accommodations. The evening buffets were delicious and there was plenty of variety from which to choose. We usually began our evenings (or ended our tours for the day) at the lounge... More

Arrived from Bangkok to this impressive hotel in the centre of Chiang Mai, less than 10 minutes from the airport. Greeted by lovely receptionists and given cold towels and a welcome drink. Informed upon check-in that we would receive a complimentary dinner in the restaurant which was great. The service was above and beyond what we expected. The rooms were... More

3 Months Ago during May I was here for my Honemoon, The hotel greeted us like none other and everybody is amazingly friendly. We had fresh fruit in our room everyday and off course were greeted with petals everywhere, even in the tub HEHE nice touch ! Also chocolate covered strawberries with a complimentary bottle of white wine. Room service... More

We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel granted us complimentary buffet dinner for two. Our room is on 7th floor. It is spacious and facing the garden and pool. The toilet is clean and shower is powerful. The hotel is 20 min walk from old town and a few minutes’ walk to night market. Check in and check out are... More

I usually only stay in places like this when travelling on business, but after a few weeks of backpacking I stayed here for 1 night to recover / get a decent shower etc. This really is like living in a palace and the staff are super friendly and will bend over backwards to see to anything that you need -... This was our first trip to Chiang Mai. The Shangri-La was a wonderful choice. The lobby is beautiful. Swimming pool one of the best we have ever seen. Well worth booking the Horizon Club. Staff took care of all of our needs in booking tours. They remember you each day. We were a family of 6. They had a table... More

We stayed in the Shangri-la for 6 days earlier this year. The staff were so helpful and we felt thoroughly spoilt as they went out of their way to fulfill our requests. Ben (the engineer) found us red dragon fruit and macarons for breakfast !! The concierge organised tuk-tuks and other trips for us to the temples and the pool... More

The room is average, however, with the helpful staff at the horizon lounge, I can relax a lot. In the morning, can enjoy the nice breakfast, then can facilitate the swimming pool and health centre, getting around near the city area of Chiang Mai, then during happy hour 5:30-7:30, getting some alcoholic and snacks before hanging out for spa and...
