This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Yes, the location and quality are superb but what makes this hotel great is the little things that come from excellent management. Little things like your luggage waiting for you when you walk in the room; maids that take the time to coil your power cords; easy and free... More

The Shangri-La is an amazing hotel with top quality staff. I did not have one interaction on any of my days that disappointed. Thoughtful concierge, desk staff, cleaning crew, pool staff. I feel that it is the personal connections that make your stay great. Most hotels of this calibre have amazing pools, the Shangri-La, has a huge lagoon pool, kiddie... More

Stayed at the Shangri-La to attend a workshop. The room was very comfortable and spacious for us. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Upon realising we had an infant the check-in staff offered to locate a baby cot for us. As well as that they provided a baby bath and bathing materials. Hotel services were also prompt and efficient... More

We stayed at the Shangrila Hotel with our two sons, ages 7&8. We luckily had a suite on the Horizon level which made all the difference. The two room suite allowed the adults to stay awake after the kids went to bed. Having access to the Horizon club was brilliant; breakfast and happy hour were key. Most important, on our... More

Spent 2 nights at the Shangri La last week and then 2 at Le Meriden. I generally tend to use more than one hotel just in case expectations don't meet reality. Both hotels were excellent but for me the Shangri La edged it in terms of ambience, facilities, value for money and overall appearance. Its a lovely hotel. Location wise its... More

We stayed here with 3 young children and stayed on the Horizon Club floor for 3 nights. Having club access for a smaller area for breakfast and cocktails/snacks in the evening was well worth the extra cost. The room size we had was very nice, with 2 small beds set up along with the king size bed for the adults.... More

Carries some of the problems large, old luxury hotels tend to: huge spaces to maintenance, endless carpets for example. nontheless: Top service, very generous with perks. Cant say food or room is too exciting, it's quite standard for Shangrila but not disappointing.

Shangri-La is an absolutely beautiful hotel, gorgeous rooms with beautiful grounds. The staff made us feel like royalty! Definitely staying here again! Stayed on 12th floor - Horizon Club. We had a late afternoon flight and the staff was very accommodating in storing our luggage, using the executive lounge while we enjoyed additional sight-seeing until our scheduled departure. Happy hour... More

Sitting by the pool on Sunday morning, surrounded both sides by building sites with work going on 9 thru 5. Noise consistent and loud. High rise apartments being built so would expect this to Continue for some months. Otherwise a very nice hotel with good service and large clean rooms.

We stayed for 1 night and about 28 hours in total in a Horizon club room and the whole experience was superb. The staff were excellent throughout the hotel and in particular on the club floor. Our room was very comfortable, and the gym/steam room very good (although a rowing machine would be a welcome addition). The hotel is a... More
