Spent a really great 3 days in Chang Mai at the start of our travels around Thailand. As our first destination we were apprehensive about the city and accommodation. but we soon got into the swing of the city and really enjoyed the Banthai village. Great location on the outside of the old walled town. Close to night market and... More

Lovely modern hotel beautifully decorated with two pools. A refreshing drink on arrival was a nice touch. Great location as you could walk into town. I would recommend hailing down a tuk tuk yourself and negotiating a cost to visit the sites as this worked out much cheaper. Visit Doi Suthep, the long neck village and the tiger sanctuary when... An excellent location from which to explore the town. The reception were efficient at both check in and out. The rooms were of an interesting design, sufficiently spacious with effective room service. I would highly recommend this hotel which offers very competitively priced rooms.

I stayed in Banthai Village in October 2013. the location was awesome just next to the happening area of the city. The hotel has a village theme and the rooms are spacious. The staff was fine. However, I freaked out a bit during my stay, first the hotel can give you an impression of being a bit ghetto because of... More

Quiet oasis set in the middle of bustling Chang Mia. This hotel is located on a peaceful single lane alley, only a few short blocks from the bustle of the wonderful night market. Our room, suitable for three people (a comfortable queen bed and nice twin bed) was wonderful. It had a private outdoor deck overlooking a serene pool. Staff... More

We enjoyed our stay at Ban Thai, but it was expensive for what it was. The bathroom was strange and very basic, step in to this really deep shower??!!
