We stayed 2 nights at the BanThai Village, Chiang Mai. The place is like an island of quietness in the heart of Chiang Mai, 5 min away from the night market and just a few more from the old town. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, with modern and silent AC, which is something quite rare in Thailand. Great breakfast too!

My husband, sister, brother-in-law, and I rented two rooms at Banthai Village during New Years (2015). We thought it was perfect! The location is fantastic, as the night markets and great street food are just around the corner, and it was but a short walk to the old city and where all of the New Years festivities were taking place.... I come often to Chiang Mai and Banthai Village is by far my favourite spot! Truly an Oasis within the urban atmosphere. Once you step in is like heaven, the entire property faces its own inner court with two pools and lush foliage. All the staff is amazing and always smiling. Top notch!

Hotel is designed as a small village consisting of two buildings that have inner courtyards with pools. Very stylish, everything in wood, floors crack pleasantly when you walk on them. Rooms pretty spacious and elegant. Really charming. Located close to the old town. Some inconveniences: - sound isolation is weak. Our room was separated from the neighboring one with just... More

After driving down the dusty back streets, we found the Banthai Village, - a complete contrast . We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor - lots of steps but thank goodness we had a friendly staff member to carry our very heavy cases ! The room was very large with 2 single beds on a platform. Although the... More

Staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was included and good variety. Cool rooms and nice boutique-type setting. Luggage storage was provided for us while we were in the mountains for a few days. Location is excellent within short walking distance to tae phae gate.

It was a very nice place to stay while in Chiang Mai. I stayed only one night but it was close walking distance to the night market just east of the hotel and same distance to all the nightlife west of the hotel. The night market is a great stop to get gifts. And when you go to central to... More

Great location, beautiful decor, friendly staff but the wooden flooring throughout is creaky and therefore noisy and the curtains are really thin so you are awoken early. We needed to use ear plugs and eye masks to stop us being awake really early.

Stayed here at the beginning and end of our tour. Nice quiet and peaceful hotel which is very close to the night markets. Had an upstairs room first night then a poolside room at the end. Both very spacious and once you get used to having a shelf around the bed you manage to avoid banging it with your legs... More
