Pros 1) rooms were big and comfortable. 2) in the old city if you like something a little more quiet. Cons 1) bath tub in the room cannot be fill up due a leakage. 2) breakfast fare was only so so. 3) insanely difficult to find the hotel when riding on a bike. Ended up going round and round in... Nice place to stay if you want a relaxing location right in the old city of Chiang Mai. We had an executive room which was roomy enough for our two young children as well and had a big bathtub and lovely view out onto the central garden. The old temples of Chiang Mai are close by, lots of eating options,... More

We stayed in a 'Deluxe' room as part of a late deal wishing was very good value based on the quality of the room which was very well presented and included a whirlpool bath, balcony and huge shower.  The staff were fairly friendly and the atmosphere at the hotel was indeed serene and relaxed. The roof top swimming pool was... More

We arrived on our flight from Bangkok via Sydney on Sept 19 to the Bodhi Serene and it was just lovely. We had four rooms with eight people and all were ready when we checked in. The rooms were clean and tidy, spacious and well decorated. As others have said before me, there was a little maintenance required around the... More

If they could be consistent then the restaurant would be very good and I've had some really good authentic Thai food at this underused poolside restaurant. Staff are very good and helpful. No gym. Construction ongoing at an adjoining property which is noisy. Breakfast is basic compared to other similar priced hotels.

Excellent reception staff...very helpful. Wonderful buffet staff and great selection of food. Staff are very obliging and love to have a chat and a joke. Beautiful pool at the end of the day after a hot days sight seeing. Rooms are plenty big enough, good TV (we watched Wimbledon) and excellent shower. Bodhisattva is positioned in a really good area... More

This hotel is very pretty, the rooms are clean and the staff super friendly. The location was perfect for us, not to far from the new city. There is also a fantastic massage place/laundry straight across the road. Restaurants are a short stroll, we did get room service at the hotel, it was delicious and really cheap. Make sure you... Considering this hotel is located in the old city and very close to the hussle and bussle, there is a good amount of peace that one can find over here. Although when we stayed, there was some construction work going on in the vacant plot next door, but that didn't bother us much. The staff are very helpful and overall extremely... More

We enjoyed our stay in the Bodhi Serene and found it to be a great location for exploring the old town and many of the temples. Quiet and peaceful in the heart of the old town. The room was a good size and clean and the bath was huge. The pool is great for a refreshing dip The breakfast is... More
