We stayed here 3 nights in Jan. 2015. Our overall experience at Bodhi Serene is just "correct". The staff NEVER smiles (except the "eggs" guy at breakfast who is very nice), and didn't even say "welcome" upon arrival, neither "goodbye" at check-out ! That's so easy yet ... The executive room was alright, but no luxury at all. The water... More

Second time staying here, and again the room is a good size and the staff are lovely. Perfect location in old city, and short taxi to the rest of chiang mai (free shuttle to night market some nights). The first night, my little girl was helping make her bed when she dropped the sheet and screamed, ants were all over... More

This hotel being not very small, it surely has a boutique feel in it. Not five starts, perhaps, but good for the money. Central location, everyting within walking distance. Numerous bike/scooter rentals and cheap back-packer eateries just next door. All rooms face the green atrium -like garden in the middle. Pool is on second floor, nice and never crowded. Breakfast... A vey comfortable and welcoming hotel close to the Tha Pae gate in the old city. The rooms are large, clean and airy; our only minor problem was a relative shortage of drawers in the room. There is a simple but adequate cafe and bar in the hotel and nice swimming pool on the roof. We would be happy to... More

It seemed a bit tricky to find this hotel and from the outside it doesn't look as grand as it does on the inside. However, the rooms are excellent, the staff are very friendly, the facilities are great. To boost, they've got a neat little restaurant in the hotel with a top quality menu and great service. It's also very... More

Lovely hotel right in the middle of the city. Wood everywhere and greenery too. The rooftop pool was lovely and they kept the Singh beer coming. Great service and the breakfast had everything you could want including made to order eggs. Loved it here.

Stayed two nights - booked online and had no expectations, other than a standard, good hotel. The hotel surpassed my expectations. True to its name, it was a serene escape from a busy bustling city. The restaurant was excellent, the staff was always very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good (my favorites were the small samplings of Thai dishes).... More

We really enjoyed our several night stay at the Bodhi Serene this past summer. The hotel resides within the "walls" of old Chiang Mai. Right down the street from the hotel were a variety of Thai massage shops, interesting restaurants, one of the large night bazaars, and lots of easy access to pick up songthaews for affordable transport to locations... Spent a great few days here. Great rooms that overlook a courtyard and nice breakfast area. Close to most attractions and the night market is nearby which is huge. Great pool with bar nearby.Concierge has a huge amount of attractions that can be booked here.

We spent 2 nights there and the room was quite lovely. The location was great. We walked to the night market. When needed it was easy to get a cab. We made use of the laundry service located nearby (50 baht per kg). After checking out I was told that the white facecloth was yellow and that I must have... More
