Like everyone says, the Sira is a very nice hotel. However, it did not meet the 5 star expectations described by many. There were several minor issues such as the safe not working (they gave us the master key), the TV signal was lost for 2 nights (the manager blamed the place across the street that brings in the signal).... more

This hotel is a great value, clean rooms, helpful staff - always with a smile. The location is central to many attractions and easy to catch your ride to wherever you need to go. Each day, Rod took time to talk to us about our day and helped us plan the next activity. We would definately stay here on our... more

We loved Sira! It was recommended by friends that spent part of their honeymoon here, and we were not disappointed! Rod, the British hotel manager, was very helpful. He gave great directions and advice on the things to do in the area, and even directed us to a great Muay Thai fight on our first night. The staff speaks English... more

I have to agree with previous reviews regarding the location of the SIra. It's just a bit too far from all the nightlife and activity in town. The hotel is probably more suited to couples looking for a quiet retreat. It is fairly nice inside, and the staff are helpful, but there just isn't much going on in that part... more

We stayed here last year for 6 nights and had a lovely time, but what a differance a year makes. Last time we stayed here the manager was a very nice man from England, nothing was a problem, advice, tips, great breakfast, even a lift to a camera shop to get my camera fixed, the place was so clean, and... more

The Sira Boutique hotel is a small facility that faces the north leg of the moat from inside the old city. It is in an area that has several restaurants and services, although it's a little farther away from most of the business hotels, larger local markets and higher-end shopping near the east wall and east of the old city.... more

Not sure who is writing all those glowing reviews, but the reality is that the Sira is a small hotel, not a boutique hotel, and there is a big difference. "Boutique" suggests high design, ultra-professional staff, concierge-style service, excellent dining and bar, and generally a luxury experience. It can be done on a budget, and occasionally is done very well... more

We stayed at Sira for 4 nights and have only positive things to say about it. The hotel is lovely and our room for 3 was spacious and nicely decorated. The staff were fantastic - all very friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. Because the hotel is only small it is much more personal than a... more

My husband and I really enjoyed Chiang Mai, but especially loved our time at Sira Boutique! The rooms were nice, although a bit small. We "splurged" and got the jacuzzi suite, but I would not recommend it, actually. We stayed in another room our first night because the suite was booked and I actually liked that room better... roomier with... more

We stayed at Sira for 5 nights in September 2009 as part of a round the world trip and we cannot praise it highly enough. We originally only booked for one night but immediately extended our stay when we arrived. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful - we turned around from checking in and our... more
