This hotel is just excellent. We stayed in a large four person room which was exceptionally clean with excellent facilities. The hotel staff were so welcoming and kind, they were very helpful and offered us loads of advice for exploring Chaing Mai. There are bicycles you can use for free and the staff helped us plan a temple tour by... More

For those of us who prefer small hotels, this is probably as close to perfection you can get in Chiang Mai. On a quiet side street, away from the main hotel area, it is the perfect place for couples and families with children. Staff exceptionally polite and helpful, and spotlessly clean averywhere. Rooms spacious with great beds.

We stayed 3 nights here. Old fashioned hotel with too many insects. Pool is not that big. Toilet and shower very worn, no bathtub in our regular room. Staff were okay friendly, but we expected friendly staff in every hotel. Location is quite far from city centre, 20 min walk from tha phae gate. Most red car drivers don't know... More

We decided to do a quick stopover in Chiang Mai after Bangkok, despite the warning of our Thai friends that it will be very hot in Chiang Mai starting now, May. We did a little websearch and found Rimping Village on TripAdvisor. We figure with nearly 2000 reviews on this little hotel, we cannot go wrong and indeed, it was... More

Great staff! They welcome you with some juice and very friendly explanations about the hotel and surroundings. The reception has a 24/7 service. When coming and going every day they remember your room number and they anticipated on making arrangements for our airport transfer. The breakfast is simple but good. Although open wifi, it is a strong signal. The pool... More

Rimping Village was the perfect place to stay for us - three couples. It has a beautiful courtyard, with pool. Rooms are modest size, not fancy, but clean and pleasant. The staff at the hotel are fabulous. They were friendly, helpful and very kind. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our interactions with the staff team. They helped us plan our... More

We can't rate this hotel highly enough, my partner took I'll after we arrived and we ended up staying for 2 weeks instead of 5 days as he wasn't allowed to travel. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, asking if I was okay when my partner had to spend a couple of days in hospital and... More

This is a great hotel just across the river and close to the night market. It has a lovely pool area and is set off the road on a quiet side street with easy access to all the temples etc. Breakfast is fresh and offers varied options which can be eaten in the air con of the restaurant or outside... We stayed 5 nights at Rimping Village and enjoyed it. We would stay there again. It's location suited us very well, an easy walk to the old city and also close to local markets to buy snacks, fresh fruit and the delicious fruit shakes. The free hotel bikes were also a great option to go further afield. Our room was... More
