It was our first time to Chiangmai we were traveling with 2 kids and were very surprised when we checked in. All the staffs, from gardeners to manager were very friendly and generous especially when our small kids made a big mess. When we travel the most important thing for us is people and how they serve us, this hotel... more

Despite our very high expectation with this hotel after reading all the positive reviews (with a #2 ranking), we were still impressed by this hotel. The location is good. It’s outside the city wall on the other side of the river. It is nested in a quiet residential area. However it’s only a short 5-minute walk to night bazzar or... more

We stayed at Rimping village, taking two rooms, for three days in April 2009. Although slightly tricky to find, the location is good, being both quiet and within easy walking distance of the river and the night markets. The rooms are clean, quite new, and quite adequate without being stunning. The staff were excellent - greeting us upon arrival, and... more

Rimping Village was as wonderful as all the reviews indicated. From the moment we were picked up at the train station until 5 days later when were dropped at the bus station we were overwhelmed by the hospitality and lovely nature of all the staff. Every aspect of our stay was perfect. We loved our room, the pool area, the... more

I stayed here with my partner and 3 others and we all agreed that we could see why this place is rated so highly. The service here is impeccable. We were greeted each time we returned to the hotel and given our keys before we'd reached the front entrance. We were also offered insect repellent each time we went out,... more

This hotel was perfect. From the moment we got there, they were extremely nice. The guy came out to help us with our bag. Every time I came home the security guy was outside ensuring the peace... even though there was not much action around the hotel. There are little shops around there to walk to. You can rent a... more

In January 2009 our small group of Canadians were lucky enough to stay at Rimping Village. We have travelled all over Thailand for the past twenty years and are well used to the warmth and generosity of Thai people. The staff and management at Rimping were no exception. We received the warmest welcome , the rooms were lovely, the pool... more

Overall I concur with the sentiments of the postive reviews expressed here. This is a great little resort which my wife and I found to be in appealing location about 5 minutes over the river (close to town but far enough away from the hurly-burly of the Night Bazzar). There is nothing I could particularly fault about the rooms. They... more

Based on the good reviews here, we planned to stay 6 nights in April but upon arrival we shortened the stay to just one day (despite the penalty we had to pay to our booking agent). For reference, we usually prefer to stay at luxury or boutique hotels with character and charm and that don't cost too much. We found... more

I live in hotels about 1/3rd of my life, so I was really impressed with the staff's friendliness, charm and willingness to make our time in Chiang Mai enjoyable. The location is in a quiet area of town within walking distance to many places, and free bikes available for the guests. The hotel is a two story L-shaped structure enclosing... more
