We stayed in Villa Duang Champa for three nights. The hotel is very well located, in the middle of the historic city's main road. On Sundays, the night market happens on this very same road. On the positive side: you can watch the comers and goers from the hotel terrace, listening to the live music and having a beer or... More

I usually stay a little closer to the Tha Pae gate area. I always ensure I am in Chiang Mai over the weekend and VDC is situated in one of the best locations to enjoy the walking street market. The welcome was warm and we were shown to our rooms by Tony who quickly became a wonderful host. The hotel... More

We had a lovely few days at this quirky, colonial style, little gem. Lovely staff and special mention for Tony and 'Num'. Live music, gentle, pop, piano, violin, guitar....all sorts. Going back in April. Busy road if you like a quiet place. Sunday mayhem market outside your balcony. Great find and would recommend.

Clean and tidy rooms with comfortable beds and good aircon. While not flashy the hotel was a character to it and is good value for the price. The only issue is the wifi isn't that reliable in the rooms. The bar downstairs is nice and busy most evenings. The location is fantastic especially on a Sunday when the street turns... More

Very cozy and relaxing outside upscale open space for dinner. Great Thai simple but sophisticated food (including pad thai, red curry) and friendly service with classical live music in the background. One of the highlights of Chaing Mai.

Spend a Sunday early evening in the bar/cafeteria of this place and youll get possibly the best blues in town. the#sax #acoustics and amazing service. should come a bit early coz the place is packed. Start by touring and shopping the sunday market and this place is located along the strech of the sunday market

So after 3 days in Chiang Mai, my friends wanted to go south. I wanted to stay longer to realy take in the relax way of living in the north. I just took my backpack and started wandering old city center. I already ate at the place during the sunday market and i must say, the vibe realy took me,... More

Great atmosphere, character, great location. But..... They have live music every night - some farang shouting into a microphone a series of dated pop songs. Do we really need this? Are travelers so desperate these days that they can't survive without this sort of connection with the west? At the least he could do an acoustic set. What about the... More

I stayed in room #1. If you don't mind a funky shower that is in high need of an update, then this might be a good choice. The accommodations are cool -nice lobby, stylish Casa-Blanca sort of feeling. The breakfast is very good. The location is great for the Sunday night market.

Amazing romantic stay for us in Chiang Mai. Adorable chic rooms which were very clean comfortable I loved the exposed concrete floors and the view from our sunroom of the mountains. Comfy beds had a great sleep every night, very quiet. Breakfast on a lovely sunny patio. Live acoustic music in the evening. Staff were amazing and attentive helpful with... More
