Stayed at the wonderful Villa Duang Champa December 27 - 30, 2015. From arrival to check-out my stay was fantastic. Tony and the entire staff were so helpful and always with a smile, from booking excursions to recommending restaurants and spas. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a beautiful balcony. The location was perfect, and the Sunday market... More

We stayed here at our second time through Chiang Ma, and wished we had found it the first time. The atmosphere of the rooms would be well suited to a design magazine or film shoot requiring an authentic mid-century period look. Or like others have mentioned, a "colonial" or "spy-movie" setting. Would love to have an apartment like our upper... More

Recommend by travelers. Might be worth the location on a Sunday night for the walking market. But, considering the price, just not worth it. Okay if in the hostel category. But poor as hotel. Few amenities. Not clean. Sofa in the room was disgusting. Worst part was unfriendly beginning with staff that worsened over our stay. How can hotel staff... More

Note: This is a review for the bar and not the guest house. We stopped here for drinks after visiting the Sunday market, this was a great chilled out bar with a really good atmosphere, this was helped by the live band who played a great selection of music.

Great place to get a seat in the patio and watch the crowd at the Sunday night market. Happy hour starts around 4 and drinks can be more expensive then other locations but you pay for the view and location. Live music is entertaining and change musicians enough to keep from getting boring. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

We moved to this hotel after 3 nights in a guesthouse slightly outside of the moat/city center. Boy, am I bummed we did not book this for our entire stay! This is a beautiful hotel with lovely design elements and a subtle Thai hipster feel. Extremely centrally located yet quiet and serene. Absolutely recommend, especially for the 25-40 y/o crowd.... We had a cool coconut and light lunch out of the heat of the day. Excellent food and relaxed atmosphere (my son who is not feeling well lay out and slept for a while and staff were very kind) Highly recommended little oasis out of the hustle & heat.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy colonial-styled hotel. Breakfast, while limited in choice, was always tasty. The fresh fruit juices are delicious and so are the cocktails in the bar which featured enjoyable musical entertainment in the evening. The deluxe rooms are spacious. Make sure to choose one of the rooms away from the street side as it can... More
