I stayed 4 nights at Amata Lanna on the first floor in March 2015. The grounds were very quite, clean, welcoming and delightfully small...very relaxing. The staff were very accommodating and all smiles. My biggest concern, before arriving, was the only online options when booking were 1 double bed or 2 single beds. The double bed was actually a king... More

This 12 room boutique hotel is absolutely beautiful! It was personally designed and built by the owner twelve years ago. She used the old Thai architecture with stunning results. The teak wide plank flooring, the flowers, door locks, pool and brick wall reflect the detailed service provided by the owner. The breakfast with fresh fruit, homade yogurt, eggs, bacon, toast,... We had a brilliant stay for 3 nights in late January - the room was very comfortable, the garden and pool area are totally charming, but what really makes this place special is the staff. They absolutely can't do enough for you. The hotel is close to the atmospheric night market in Chiangmai, and there are some nice restaurants within... More

Perfect hotel. Quiet with wonderfully furnished rooms. Great staff, very friendly and willing to help in any way needed. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. The omelets and sticky rice with mangos-----along with the wonderful coffee were a big hit. The hotel is within walking distance to some great markets and restaurants. The night market (6pm to 11pm) was... More

This hotel was probably my favourite in Thailand. It is small (a dozen or so rooms) and features large rooms well furnished in dark wood. The doors and shutters are a feature as they are heavy, solid wood - possibly traditional Thai style and have real keys - no key cards here. The room was very clean though a loose... More

Great room, wonderful breakfast and great service. Nice little touches in the room like a copy of the Thailand Lonely Planet. Great location and very close to the night street market and a number of restaurants. The hotel has a pool and very nice for the odd day to chill out when you are not touring round the many local... What a wonderful experience! This was our first time in Thailand and we wanted the full Thai experience. The room was spacious and clean. The service was top notch and the staff was always there to help. The breakfast was a perfect way to start the day and the comfortable beautiful room was the perfect way to end the day!

What a fantastic place. This is truly a little jem, when you are around the pool or in your room you would never know that you were only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of down town Chaing Mai or the lively night market. This place takes you back to how Thailand used to be long ago. The... More

This was a quiet friendly hotel which was immaculately clean. Our room was beautiful...a large 4 poster bed in the room with drapes gave it a real wow factor! The bathroom had a beautiful large jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Breakfasts were excellent and service was faultless. Plenty of restaurants within a short walk and also the night markets were... Amata Lanna is a beautiful intimate small hotel right across from the river and a very lovely temple. It is very thoughtfully designed, and tastefully decorated. What sets it apart however is the high level of service and caring shown by the owners & the staff. As a solo woman traveller I felt welcomed & cared for in a very... More
