Stayed here for 8 nights mainly for the good location. It was off Loi Kroh and less then 10 minutes walk to Thapae Gate. Great exercise walking to see all the beautiful Wats in the Old City. I felt safe even walking at night. The wifi in the room was excellent too. The reception may appear unsmiling at times but... More

Nice room, cleaner comes in everyday, minibar, fan and air con however, shower is always semi cold, not so nice if you are there for colder days. Staff are friendly but couldn't arrange transport and other basic services. Overall you pay for a nice room nothing else. It is in the middle of the sex bar area, walking to town... More

Rux Thai is a nice and quiet place to stay! The stuff is friendly and helpful (but if you want to have breakfast there plan enough time for it - they are very slow)! We had two rooms because we had to move out of our first room! the first one was okay - the bathroom was the biggest drwaback... More

This should be a budget hotel for several reasons. The area, right in the heart of the "Sex Bar" area. The room décor is reminiscent of an older time with Palm Frond wall panels and very old Wardrobes. The linen is musty or smells of tobacco smoke. Breakfast was a serious disappointment and overpriced with a service automatically added. There... More

At around $12-15/night (USD), you can't beat this deal. Air conditioning, free wi-fi, great location, accommodating staff and wonderful American-style breakfasts. Nothing fancy here, but if you're looking for a clean, economical and comfortable place to stay - this is a wonderful choice. After a day of sightseeing around Chiang Mai, the air-conditioned room was a dream to come back... More

I loved this place. The people were very nice and the room was cheap. I payed about 600 baht for a single. This is a nice family business. The people that stayed here were very nice as well. They were from various places around the world. James Tate MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE USA

This hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Chiang mai. Yet it is in a quiet street, so no disturbed nights. it is a few minutes walking distance to many restaurants, bars etc. And is also close to the large Night Market. Don't expect luxury, but for the money it was clean tidy and the staff were very helpful.

We stayed at Rux-Thai for a couple of nights and were very happy with it. The location is perfect, right in between the Old City and the Night Bazaar, although we did get lost trying to find it in the evening! We booked a cheap double room which was clean, had an ensuite and a telly, but the bed was... More

Our airport cab driver brought us here on a whim after we told him how much wed like to pay. It was perfect for us. It was off the main road which was nice and quiet. The front desk can book you excursions. They take credit cards which is nice because for the rest of our travels through Thailand it... More
