Reading some of the ratings here I can`t quite understand what people expect when going on Holiday. The Ratilanna Riverside is one of the best hotels I`ever had the luck to stay at. Situated directly next to the river Ping (and actually NOT full of mosquitos), this hotel is built in a very unique style - with outside waterfalls and... More

Stayed in a standard room for 6 nights for a wedding. Transfer was around for 500 baht. Quite a large sprawling report yet still small enough to get around. Situated on the river, it has immaculate gardens, various water features and a centrepiece open annex cafe where snacks and drinks were certainly consumed on mass. Rooms are stunning. Large space... This was my first time in Chiang Mai and won't be my last if I can stay at the RatiLanna again. The staff was wonderful, the atmosphere and amenities amazing. Definitely spend some quality time at the spa, we left there relaxed yet wanting to return as soon as possible.

We visited this beautiful boutique hotel for a week at the end of January as part of a two centre holiday and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a mix of modern and traditional style décor with the emphasis on richly carved wood. there is an abundance of running water throughout the hotel including in the bathroom which adds... We had the most relaxing holiday. The staff were wonderful. The pool was refreshing . The dining was exquisite. When we come back we will definitely stay there again. Breakfast was satisfying. You need not go outside the resort.

We have stayed in Thailand 4. Times and this is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. We stayed for two weeks with a holiday firm and although the rooms and areas are very nice and the setting next to river is pretty, the hotel seems to reply on its Chinese and Korean clientele. We were told we would... More

I visited Thailand in 12/2014 for 2 weeks. This hotel has to be the most luxurious hotel of them all. All the rooms have been recently renovated and they appeared almost new. The service was top notch. It is situated next to a river and is very scenic. The restaurants were very high class but the food was only average.

I traveled to Chiang Mai for business in late January 2015 and the hotel was selected by the meeting organizers; all meetings were held at the hotel in various function rooms. We all commented on how nicely the current hotel managers had updated the hotel, with beautiful wood, modern finishes, and northern Thai/Lanna touches throughout. Apparently it used to be... More

This hotel is the best example of why you should be cautious about boutique hotels. The place is not bad but is not very good either, we expected much more... and staying there you can realize all the mistakes, lacks and problems that you cannot see through pictures. The good things: 1. Is not too far from airport. 2. The... More

The Ratilanna is a beautiful, peaceful oasis located beside the river in Chiang Mai. The room was very large with a traditional wooden Thai design. Lovely balcony overlooking the pool area. Only complaint was that the room was poorly lit, with a complicated lighting control console next to the bed - no 'normal' wall switches. Breakfast was good with plenty... More
