Three of us checked into a triple room on the fifth floor of this hotel. We were delighted to find how spacious the room was, as well as being pleasantly decorated with a subtle Asian theme. The TV was a large plasma, the AC was ideal, and there were a range of appliances such as a kettle and microwave at... More

Pros: -In a quiet area, still very close to restaurants, bars, and markets -Spacious room with AC -Amazing complimentary breakfast with coffee, eggs, toast, fruit etc. -Inexpensive (~$25CAD for a double room) -Fast WIFI Cons: -Lots of families, so expect some kids to make noise in morning -TV fuzzy but working (no big deal)

The hotel itself is great, pool is clean, rooms are clean and the staff were very helpful, even taking our bags when we went on a 3 day trek. The only downside is the location, although close enough to the square, it was difficult to navigate the roads and get across safely.

Some of the reviews seem quite harsh, I had a room on the top floor. We had a big bed, the aircon worked well, it had a fridge. There was lots of space. The bathroom had a tub and was in good condition. We had a nice private balcony too with a view of the pool. The pool looked fine... More

Luckily we booked for 1 night only. 2 positive points are friendly staff and 1 (!) parking space f.o.c. Whilst it looks ok from outside, once you enter the stair house, you see that dirt and disorder everywhere. The room was old, muffy and dusty with lots of spider webs A/C was blowing only warm air and the unit was... More

Located in a quiet area within 10 minutes walk to the night market. The rooms are simple but ok. There is a very good breakfast. For those who come with a car, there is parking available for the guests. WiFi is good. So all in all a good stay at very reasonable cost.

The Mandala was recommended by a friend but we were greatly disappointed. We chose the 'suite' for one night and ended up having to change hotel in the middle of the night because the air conditioner was leaking. Besides that the room was stuffy and smelled and the sheets didn't feel clean. We told the hotel staff about the air... More

Stayed here towards the end of my backpacking trip with some friends. We were tired of hostels and wanted a place to ourselves for a change. For what I payed for a hostel on Bangkok I was able to book this beautiful room for 3 people. The floor to ceiling wonders gave a wonderful view of Bangkok. The bathrooms and... More

We arrived here on May, room price is cheaper (price not including breakfast)maybe because of low season begging. Location is good nearby Tha Pae gate. There is a staff can speak English and Chinese aggressively help guest solve any problem. We got into room before check-in time when room ready. And here also provide scooter and bike for rent. Scooter... More

Tucked away but still close to everything. The motel is a bit confusing, with the pool across the road (which was green!) and two flights of stairs going to different places. Close to shops and markets, easy walking distance but used the local transport too. Meals were nice and a good variety for breakfast. Bed was firm and comfortable. Recommend... More
