Western House came with friend's recommendation and proved to be good basic accommodation for the 3 nights we stayed there. The room was a bit dated and dark but everything worked well. Hairdryer would have been good add to the facilities. Complimentary coffee however, was available at the lobby each morning. The Front Desk people were pleasant and helpful and... More

The Western House Hotel is a nice, cheap place. It's located in the old city near the main gate, has all the amenities including wi fi, hot water, en suite shower/washroom, free coffee in the morning and bottled water. On top of that, the staff are incomparably nice. However, everything feels a bit worn and run down, particularly the linens... More

I stayed at the Western House for 3 nights. If I were to rate this place on the friendly front desk staff, I would give it a 5 star excellent review. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Upon first inspection, I did need to have my bed remade due to some questionable linens. The housekeeper was not so friendly. While... More

Simple room... cramped... but I guess this is all you get for the money. Free wifi and coffee..That's about it. Located a bit off the main roads but bang next to a temple that jingles its bells at 4 in the morning...

Good value for money hotel. Friendly staff, gave us a room on the ground floor as we have lot's of luggage and there is no lift. Reasonable sized room with air-con and fridge and cable TV. Free coffee all morning, which is nice. Good location to see the Old Town. Plenty of eating places about. A bit hard to find... More

Getting to this hotel was very easy from the airport. They also require a 500baht deposit upon check in. The man, Tony, who checked us in was extremely nice. No lift, which was no problem for us, but my boyfriend did help an older women up with her bags because the Thai women at the desk said there was 'no... More

Stayed here on for a few nights due to proximity to the airport. On arrival I was shown to a room just off the foyer on the ground floor. Adequate, hot shower, air con which was not needed. Clean bedding and comfortable bed. It could go with a lick of paint but suited my needs... Passing through. Free coffee all... More

I was here for only 12 hours and spent most of that in Chiang Mai before catching a flight to the airport. The hotel was well-located, being only 5 minute walk to the main street running north to south in Chiang Mai. There is a nice wat in front of the hotel that is worth a look. The staff were... More

Checked in for three nights in January, 2014. Taxi straight from airport to the hotel. Check in process simple and straightforward. Room was basic and good shower, clean and large bathroom area. What appeared to be husband and wife couple as the owners were nice, though gentleman not overly courteous, could have been language barrier. The lady was lovely and... More

Every staff member that was at front of desk was so extremely helpful. They booked us on our tours and all were excellent tours. The place isn't known by taxis so it is a slight mission finding your hotel. The rooms are great and really enjoyed my stay
