Booked this hostel for the myself and 4 other friends when we got there it seemed okay, the staff were very nice to be fair! However once we got to the rooms it was horrible the bed sheets and duvet had so many stains on them and the towels had brown dried crap on them! The shower didn't even work... More

We stayed at MD house for 5 nights and we were really pleased with our stay. When we arrived we found our air con wasn't very strong we complained and within minutes we were given a fan and a maintance man was sent to fix the air con! Admittedly the rooms are basic but have everything you need. The only... More

We stayed here for one night. The rooms are really basic, small and filthy. The shower is a stream if water which smells really bad. There were 3 single beds in our room & we were practically on top of each other. moreover, the staff were so rude, in particular the lady behind the desk (curly hair.. Late 20's). Politeness... More

Stayed here for three nights, room was nice, just had a few lizards and a cockroach in the shower, but you get that nearly everywhere. The staff were helpful, the wifi wasn't great, which can be frustrating when you're trying to sort things out.. But for the price, I'd recommend the place.

The rooms were a bit dated and not that well maintained. Our room smelled like paint thinner due to the construction going on next door, and the bathroom had a definite mildew smell. The pool was very nice, and the included breakfast was fine, but nothing special. The wifi was so slow it was basically nonexistent. Everything about the hotel... More

Nice pool, ok rooms, excellent air con and ok breakfast. For what you are paying however you can get much much more for your money elsewhere which is slightly disappointing. No real complaints it's pretty bang average but you do expect more then a swimming pool and an ok room for 650 bhat a night. Wifi is rubbish as well... More

Breakfast is OK if you like eggs. Rooms are drab, dated and can get more for your money elsewhere as long as you don't care about the pool use. The pool is a good feature but due to the building work next door relaxing in the sun can be a bit tricky. It is near to Thae Pae (sp?) gate... More

This place was awesome and was the perfect place to stay in Chiang Mai. The guest house is called MD House because the owners have 6 doctors in the family. The parents and all four of their children are physicians. Quite amazing really! I met 3 of them and they are really nice, down to earth and pleasant folks. I... More

Good price for value... 2 pools and free breakfast. Wifi is not great and rooms and bathroom can use renos but the A/C worked fine and they were clean. Lots of mosquitoes in lobby so maybe closing the door would be a suggestion. Free water is nice as well.

Having been back packing for 2 months we've visited our share of hostels, this one however, does not fit the bill for what you're paying. There is no atmosphere on site, the hallways have a "the shining"-esque/ drab /slasher movie feel to them. The quality of the rooms is not in line with the price (we've stayed in hotels since,...
