I loved relaxing in the pool after we've been 3 days in the jungle! They also had been watching our backpacks while we were gone, and nothing was stolen. But after we came back from our jungle trip, we got another room and it was really really smelly - probably cuz of the aircon. They had no problem with switching... More

BMP is a great place to stay if your travelling to chiangmai and are going to be getting stuck in to the adventure and interesting things chiangmai has to offer. Its not your high class ritzy type hotel but is filled with travellers all doing the same things you are, so its easy to meet and make new friends by... More

We arrived here expecting to pay 400baht for a fanned room and were told there was only air con available, and as we hadn't booked ahead we couldn't argue. We were told there would definitely be a fan room the next day so we just went for the air con room for the first night and said we'd change, but... More

Social atmosphere, good location, reasonably priced food and drink. Nice to have a pool. Overall good value and a nice experience. However, room was quite dirty with a few leaks and staff are not the friendliest all the time. Also quite loud at night.

I booked this through Tourist Information Tour Co Ltd, 7/1 Room 7101 Ka-Om Road, Wat Som Subdist, Pomprab Dist, Bangkok. It should be noted that you should NEVER use this travel agent as they are a total rip off. The hotel is very welcoming on arrival but very concerned with selling you more trips (I had already booked the trekking).... More

This hostel is perfect for backpackers IFFF you don't mind having a room which isn't 100% spotless, however saying that they're not filthy! One of our rooms had ants but we then moved to another room which was completely fine so I think we were just unlucky. The bar is very reasonable and is such a good place to meet... More

Ok yes the rooms aren't spotless but they aren't filthy! This is a perfect place for backpackers to stay as it's cheap, full of knowledgeable staff and has a pool! We had a great welcome and were walked to our room. The beds were made and there was a fridge which was a bonus to keep the water in. We... More

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the restaurant is reasonably priced and has a decent selection, the taxi/transfer service is useful, tourist information desk is good (if not cheap) and the pool is great. It's about a 10min walk from the centre for the food market and the temples etc. The biggest problem is that wifi doesn't extend to the... More

This hostel was absolutely fine for the price we paid for it although it was very disappointing that we didn't get to use the pool cause it was being refurbished (that would have made it a lot better!!) Slightly out of the way so about a 15-20 minute walk into town but tuk tuks cost around 100baht to take you... More

We arrived in Chiang-Mai after spending a few days in Bangkok and I swear to god, when you see that pool it'll be one of the best feelings all trip (if you've just come from a city that is!) We were meant to be staying at 'B.M.P House' (also in Chiang-Mai) but after a mix up with our "fantastic" travel... More
