We had a really bad experience in the bmp residence. The place was looking really good and was located in a good spot in chiang mai. Had a swiming pool and many backpackers what could go wrong? They gave us really bad rooms, the people in reception and the manager were really unfriendly and mean to us. The rooms are... More

I always try and find something positive to say about a place, so my positive comment is that I only had to stay here one night...and there was a pool I had no interest in using. Thats two positives? I only stayed here because of a tour I signed up for in Bangkok, but based on them booking BMP for... More

we had dust, empty bottles, pills and chewed chewing gum under our bed and on the closet. The bathroom was all over moldy! The pillow case had stains on it. Bed was hard as a floor. (we tried 2 rooms; 3rd floor and 1st floor; both horrible) Staff was unfriendly. Take care when swimming in the swimming pool! The tiles... More

The rooms here are hit or miss, and regardless how much you pay or what "type" of room you request it is really a crap shoot. The prices will change with the wind, or the whim of whoever is at the front desk, so my recommendation is to ask around and see what other people are paying and request that... More

My wife and I got off the night train and were driven to b.m.p residence. Once there everyone that was picked up was moved to separate tables out side and given a cold glass of Thailand water. Yum yum don't you think? While filling out the guest form the staff member In front of me really only felt like selling... More

This is the worst hotel I have ever staid in. We had two rooms in december 2013. The first room we had to wait for, because they had to clean it first. But when we got it there was dust everywhere and hair in the sink. The second room we got after our 3day trekking was even dirtier. Dust everywhere,... More

When we arrived at the BMP resident we had lost some papers that had our reservation (we made the mistake of booking this place with a shady enterprise, do things yourself never with this companies). Our names where nowhere to be found (we made the reservation one month in advance). The main boss at the place stayed with us for... More

It was high season so we just accepted whatever those tour companies in Hualamphong offered us. Read the reviews after booking and was really prepared for a horrible experience. I got the room with the two single beds stuck together (with a balcony) and read that it was very dirty. Room 304 - the mattress did seem a bit dirty... More

Unfriendly and uninterested staff. Highly focussed on organising tours. Room smelled and had a dirty bathroom. No wifi in the room, only at the bar. Common area is nice and good place to meet other travellers. Location about 10 minute walk from the city.
