On the plus side, the location was good, the papaya pancakes for breakfast were delicious and the garden was nice. Unfortunately i didn't find this a friendly place to stay although i sometimes managed to get help from the staff on directions and the leaky toilet in my room was fixed within the day. The rooms were basic and a... More

Annette runs a wonderful little guest house in a quieter part of town. We stayed somewhere else when we first arrived. After hunting around a little, we found that we could stay at Eagle House, with all the same amenities, for half the price. Not only that, but the staff were incredibly friendly, the space is really nice to relax... More

Staff: 5/5 Beds: 0/5 Bathroom: 1/5 The location was nice, but man those beds were uncomfortable. I stayed in two rooms on different nights, and apparently all of their beds are uncomfortable. The first night, the bed was like a pile of bricks. The second night was even worse! I felt like I was sleeping on a box spring and... More

So the first thing to note is that it is basic accommodation, and that is why it is so cheap. So you do get what you pay for. The beds were incredibly hard but other than that, the rooms were clean and tidy enough. The shower is very weak (basically a dribble), but again, you are not paying for luxury.... More

Thus was my second stay at Eagle House and I must say I truly enjoyed my stay there. I had a late arrival and when I got to Eagle House my room was ready and waiting. The staff is wonderful, so friendly and helpful, Accommodations are simple but comfortable and at that price a great bargain! The courtyard is a... More

Eagle House is located down a side street about a ten-minute walk away from Thapae Gate. I thought it would be quiet, but I could hear motorbikes passing quite loudly (maybe the walls are thin???) I was also disappointed to discover that the wifi didn't extend to my room, so I had to sit outside in the common area whenever... More

Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Clean, basic accommodation - right for the price. Great food. Well planned trek with absolutely brilliant tour guide Dwee. And we cannot rate the cooking class highly enough... the chef should have his own tv show - we were thoroughly entertained and learned how to make some great dishes. Our family loved it. Thanks Annette... More

It was nice and fun, and the cooking class was great. The food was good and the three-day jungle trek, although tiring, is an amazing adventure that did not disappoint (it included elephant riding and river-rafting, and the porter/guide was exactly what we needed). The staff was extremely nice and the owner speaks good English and is a lovely host.... More

this place was our home in Chiang Mai for a few days last week. All in all a good experiences. Hard to beat on price, good location and friendly staff. The owner is often around and she helped us in planning some of our trip. One top element is the nice garden, full of spices used in the cooking school.... More

My partner and I stayed at the eagle house for a couple of nights. We had a restful stay, the neighborhood and location was excellent. Annette, the host and her staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and detail oriented. They arranged a trek for us and it was really great! Our room was basic but clean and very quiet. It could...
