The Garden is the place to go to have a beer and listen music. Some groups are really very very good. The owners are not particularly friendly but they are lucky to have a good waitress! Food is average.

We were walking in the old city when we heard this great music. A great jazz band was playing (The John boys?). They were very good. Had a really good evening and the prices are very reasonable. Great place for live music.

There doesn't seem to be a tripadvisor page for The Garden Restaurant, so I'm adding my review here. We didn't stay in this hotel/B&B, but we did go to their patio/restaurant for drinks a couple times - and it was the BEST place we went. DO GO HAVE A DRINK ON THEIR PATIO. They had live music every night we... More

Heard the bands from the street as we walked the Sunday market. stopped in and found a wonderful owner who danced with the patrons and stayed open later while we finished our very big glasses of wine. Charming garden city. Music went from Reggae to classic rock. Great place don't miss it!!!

I didn't stay here, but it was across the street from my hotel. Quickly became my favorite spot for food and drink. Loved listening to the live music they brought in, and all the food I had was delicious. I can't speak to the lodging, but if you're walking by stop in for a bite.

I didn't stay in the rooms, just stopped for something to eat but the food is very good and the music is too so well worth an evening taster. (Ignore ratings other than overall, I'm only rating the restaurant).

I came across this place while walking the streets in the old part of the city. I wanted to find somewhere at the hub of Chiangmai and be within walking distance of all to see within the city. I wasn't looking for anything flash my main focus being reasonable costs and friendly staff. The Garden turned out to be a... More

Wonderful, laid back guesthouse. I spent a few days there over Songkran, the Thai New Year water festival, and could not have been happier with the service provided by Tim and his staff. Very laid back place with clean, spacious, air conditioned rooms and a clean bathroom with heated water. They didn't hike the prices for Songkran which I appreciated... More

Became tired of walking in Sunday market, I found this place. Food and beer was good and cheep. There are two good bands that play on sunday evening. I tried second time. Don't miss it specially during sunday market. Just it's not a garden;it's a small ceiled yard

My friend and I stayed at the Garden in February for 6 nights and couldn't have had a better time. Tim and his staff are extremely helpful and laid back in their guesthouse. They only have 3 rooms, so they make sure you are taken care of. It's in a great location in Chiang Mai, close to shops and restaurants.... More
