I would not recommend this guesthouse because the service is really bad. The owner and staffs are friendly ONLY to Caucasian travelers who bought their expensive tour packages. They treat other guests in a very rude way, especially they have totally different attitude to Asian travelers. It is so hilarious because they are also Asians! The shower is bad too,... More

We arrived by train into Chiang Mai without any reservations for accommodation. We figured we would find something upon arrival. As soon as we were off the train, there were a few people greeting the passengers with options for accommodation. Chiang Mai Thai House was one of those. The offered a free taxi to their place to view the rooms,... More

Great guest house, particularly as a base for backpackers throughout a stay in Chiang Mai. We stayed here for a period of 5 days but with 1 night spent elsewhere as we decided to go on a trek. The staff at Chiang Mai Thai house are clearly very used to tourists and their needs - they were able to arrange... More

Its a clean hotel, Nice staff, great location, the swimmingpool is excellent. The Pick-up from the train station is great. Its a bargain and you get what you Pay for plus a swimmingpool. We really enjoyed our stay here. The only downside, they really want you to book a tour/trek throug them.

Ok it ain't the ritz but what do you expect at that price. The rooms are basic but clean and you have everything you need. The staff are friendly especially JJ who was extremely helpful. The pool area is great too. The location is ideal. A very quiet little side street and just a short walk from the old town.... More

I haven't even stayed in this hotel but still had a terrible experience. The staff were so rude, particularly the manager with black hair. He was trying to charge us full price for a room even though the pool was closed. When we tried to explain to him that there was 4 people staying for 3 nights so could he... More

It's old, built in the 60's or before. Rooms are clean and adequate. Don't expect a shower curtain, there is no need for one. Watch your toes, there are many levels, it's just how Thai's construct buildings. The price is great, less than $30 a night. Their food is excellent and reasonable. The location is fantastic! You are a stone's... More

They are nice and friendly when you get there, but as soon as you tell them you don't want to book an excursion or trip with them, they get mad and really realy unfriendly! The rooms look fine on first sight, but lack a lot of small, annoying things. For example: no shower curtain, no possibility to hang the shower... More

We arrived in CM with nowhere to stay, one of the hotel staff was at the train station and offered us a good price, he said he'd drive us there, show us the room and if we didn't like it then we got a free lift into the city. The hotel was everything he said it would be, nice clean... More
