This was our first stay at Tri Gong residence. After reading all the great reviews, we decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did. The location was perfectly placed within the walls of the old city. We were walking distance to great temples, markets, street vendors, and everything we could need during our stay. The owners were great,... More

Tri Gong is located at the North-Eastern corner (Sri Poom corner) of the old city. The neighborhood is quiet, ideal for the people who prefer the peaceful places than the crowded ones. The staff are very friendly and all of them speaks fluent English so they are always pleased to inform you about any interests and questions about/around the city.... More

This was our second stay at Tri Gong. This time we stayed for two weeks and really got to know the area well. Tri Gong is well positioned inside the Noth East corner of the old city and inside the moat. If you ask for "jaang si poom, soi neung" you will get there. Sorngtau (the red two bench trucks)... More

Hello everyone, I had to find very quickly an Hotel in Chiang Mai, and this one is so welcoming, so peaceful, in the heart of a nice neighbourhood where the food is so good!. I had a problem, I was late to take my train, stock in the trafic jam. I called the owner and he came himself to bring... More

We stayed here because it was recommended by fellow travellers and it's not really our style. For budget backpacker accommodation it;s very good. If you're looking for somewhere with lots of facilities, this isn't the place though the location is absolutely first class inside the old city walls.

There's nothing too wrong with this place. You are in the backpacker ghetto that is the north east corner of the old city but it does mean you have lots of bars and cafés nearby. It never really feels very authentic round there though. Room was clean with unlimited drinking water which was great but the ground floor rooms are... More

I've stayed at TriGong many times over the years but have lost many nights of sleep to the barking dogs. I've spoken to Adam the manger and Duey who I think is his son. They won't do anything about it and in fact have gotten 3 of their own dogs now. So I finally gave up on this place and... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights. For the price the rooms are big and clean. The location is good and the staff are very helpful. They went out of their way to help us (by returning my wallet to me in another city when I left it behind) and the atmosphere is perfect for a chilled out few... More

I think that for what its worth the place is really good. The rooms are small and so is the bathroom but it is just enough to live in. In fact more than enough since it does include a fridge plus air conditioning and its own television. They even clean your room and give fresh new towels and throw your... More

About this hotel I read in Lonely planet when searching for accomodation in Chiang Mai. The price is little bit higher then concurention in his level. In the book they wrote like nice and quiet place. When we becomme the room, it was much more different then on the hotel photos (very small, the bathroom so tiny - that you... More
