When we first got to this hotel, we didn't like it as it seem old and worn, but we soon grew to appreciate the unique nostalgic feel that this place zoomed. This hotel definitely can do with a big overhaul and updating. We stay for 4 nights, our room were spacious and quiet, even though the furnishing is dated, it... More

This hotel was recommended to us as being very reasonable, we were told it was a typical Thai style hotel, very basic, had air-conditioning and a pool. Apparently it was built around the time of the Vietnam war in the '60's, obviously no updating has been done since that time. To see the bedside lamp with the plastic still on... More

The staff we're helpfull and friendly. The room had everything you needed ( fridge, water, aircon and safe) and were cleaned well! The hotel was dated but sort of added to the charm of the place. Food wasn't great and pool could do with cleaning. But overall an enjoyable stay.

Lovely hotel, staff are willing to help. Lovely pool area but not always able to swim. Reasonably priced food (but not great)and drink. Location is pretty good for night markets, chinatown and lovely out-of-the-way restaurants if you are happy to explore the back roads.

Nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. It is easy to slip into a relaxed daily route at the prince. It is within walking distance to markets and restaurants. The only downfall is their constant struggle with the pool.

For the price paid this was a good hotel. The room was adequate and clean, the foyer is large and cool and furnished with lots of interesting olde worlde style furniture and comfy seating. The breakfast was a fairly standard hotel buffet breakfast. OK, but nothing to write home about! The coffee is good though! Once you get your bearings... More

Prince Hotel is an old Thai style hotel in the centre of town. Its old but well maintained with the option of AC. Rooms are big and clean with shower and tub and TV with lots of channels. Swimming pool is large and a good gathering place for international travellers. Everything is within walking distance.

I stayed here in total for 4 nights. I would stay here again, as Chiang Mai is an amazing place. But the hotel was very basic. The pool was nice, but the pool staff were very rude and even questioned whether I was actually a guest. The air conditioning was very loud, but at least there was some! Nothing special,... More

Stayed at this hotel a few nights as part of a GAdventures tour. The hotel is very old, and the signs of age are apparent. The lobby had a lot of character with old, carved wood furniture for sale. Don't touch the large gorilla, one of our cotravellers picked up the arm and a nest of mosquitoes came out. The... More

This Hotel has been going since the Vietnam war. Not much has been updated since then. The rooms are large and airy. The swimming pool is the star of the complex but the pool surrounding are in need of an update. A good cleaning of the pool furniture would help. There are lots of good restaurants and bars nearby.
