This is a good place if you want to meet other travelers. I showed up after traveling for 4 days straight from Russia and wanted to relax and meet some people. This plan worked out well until I tried to extend my stay past 3 nights. I had heard when I was in Chiang Mai a couple years before that... More

Really nice place with lots of opportunities to meet fellow backpackers. Even though the rooms are small and very basic, they're super cheap and clean. The staff was also very friendly and helpful in booking trips, remembering all the guests by name even though it was fully booked and there were many people walking in and out! Definitely a good... Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a few nights whilst we were in Chiang Mai, it was basic, but exactly what you want from a guest house. It was cheap, the staff were nice and helpful, could rent mopeds from the guest house. Breakfast there was quite nice and the bar area was pretty busy with other travellers all... More

This place has just a great atmosphere. Met so many great people in just 1 night. Can't see anything of what some other people said. It's pretty cheap so it doesn't look it's all about the business and they trust you to write down your own drinks (pay when leave). That's pretty laid back I guess!

The rooms are cheap that is very true, but there is nothing else interesting about this place, moreover, cheap room are all over chiang mai, where you can get, for free, the smiles and warm welcome that you won't find at julie. There it's all about making money. They will rent you a motorbike for 200baht/day. Note that you can... More

We spent two nights in a twin room with AC and it was really great. The atmosphere is fun and chilling and the food is very good and cheap. There is a good backpacker vibe and an honor system regarding to drinks. We met a lot of great people and were very sad to leave.

Three nights spent in a basic room. Really cold welcoming though. Nice patio but when even crowed, lights are switch off at 11:30, whenever you just order a drink... After a short walk around, there are obviously way more friendly places in Chiangmai...

I stayed unfortunately only two nights at Julie's but it was still an amazing experience. It is one of the hostels where you feel immediately comfortable, where you feel the welcoming backpacker vibe and where you will spend most of your time.. That is what happened to us. We spent literally almost all of our time at this hostel but... More

I started at another guesthouse that had zero social environment, before switching to Julie's. I absolutely loved my stay here. It has a great open reception area with a restaurant and perfect hangout area, that people were congregated at at all hours of the day/night. I met several people within the first 20 minutes of walking in the doors. The... More

I travelled South East Asia for 6 weeks and Julie Guest House was by far the best hostel I stayed in. There is an amzing Backpackers vibe. The staff are incredible, when we arrived they gave us a room striaght away without booking beforehand. They then booked all of our activities in Chiang Mai for the week. There was no... More
