Hesitant about Lanna Mantra after arriving because of secluded location, but after I used the hotel's ride service to and from BB Mantra, sister hotel in the square, realized how nice it was to escape the city after hours of eating, exploring. Staff are friendly and speak good enough English to support you. Give you water bottles and toilet paper... More

We stayed here for two nights, at the start and the end of our north Thailand tour. Our only regret was that we didn't stay an extra night to relax, enjoy the hotel hospitality, and Visit Chiang-mai a bit longer. The place is a bit our of town, but nothing a short taxi drive, or better - a hired scooter... More

I was there with family. Parents and young children. All enjoyed staying there. Children enjoyed pool and food. Parents enjoy their nice river view, garden, pool and food. Rooms are all clean and comfortable bed but we can hear people talk outside even other nearly room VERY WELL. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Little far from city center but... More

Even though it's a little way away from the hustle and bustle of old city, it's not too much of an inconvenience. If you're looking for a quiet place to unwind, this is perfect. We discovered a canoe on our second day there and spent a whole afternoon paddling up and down the Ping river. The shower was amazing, staff,... More

Stayed for a week vacation. Staff was friendly and helpful arranging transport and answering questions. Great value. A bit far from town. Shuttle into sister property in town helped, but expect to pay ~$5 each way if you take a tuk tuk. Daily breakfast was included in the price and wasn't fancy but included a hot dish and good start... We stayed at the Lanna Mantra for a 6 days vacation. While we were initially worried about the distance to the city, the hotel provided a very convenient shuttle service to and from their sister hotel within the moat of the old city (BB Mantra). The staff doesn't speak much English, but are attentive and eager to help you with... More

Nice, quiet place and conducive to meditative repose. Very friendly staff, with good will of each moment that sometimes compensates for the lack of professionalism. A "basic" food (breakfast a bit poor) but the hotel and its staff are making real benefit to spend several days in a charming place. Surely the place will improve as everyone seem very concern... Stayed here for 4 nights, whilst touring Thailand. Had a fantastic time in Chaing Mai as a whole, partly due to this fantastic hotel. We paid around £20 a night for a "superior room" although decided to pay an extra £40 on the day, to upgrade to a room with a bath and better views of the river. The location... More

Very quiet, great pool overlooking the Ping river. All the rooms at the back of the hotel back onto the pool & river which is mostly very quiet. You barely see any boats going by, apart from the odd local river cruise but you barely notice them. Quiet and peaceful at night, and having stayed here twice now would highly... More

Our 5 night stay at this exceptional establishment was the closest to perfection and surpassed our wildest expectations - we adored it! Just outside the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai and yet within such easy reach with a free shuttle service offered by the hotel twice a day, this suited us down to the ground and we would not...
