Nice, quiet place and conducive to meditative repose. Very friendly staff, with good will of each moment that sometimes compensates for the lack of professionalism. A "basic" food (breakfast a bit poor) but the hotel and its staff are making real benefit to spend several days in a charming place. Surely the place will improve as everyone seem very concern... Stayed here for 4 nights, whilst touring Thailand. Had a fantastic time in Chaing Mai as a whole, partly due to this fantastic hotel. We paid around £20 a night for a "superior room" although decided to pay an extra £40 on the day, to upgrade to a room with a bath and better views of the river. The location... More

Very quiet, great pool overlooking the Ping river. All the rooms at the back of the hotel back onto the pool & river which is mostly very quiet. You barely see any boats going by, apart from the odd local river cruise but you barely notice them. Quiet and peaceful at night, and having stayed here twice now would highly... More

Our 5 night stay at this exceptional establishment was the closest to perfection and surpassed our wildest expectations - we adored it! Just outside the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai and yet within such easy reach with a free shuttle service offered by the hotel twice a day, this suited us down to the ground and we would not... We stayed for 6 nights here. This is far from Chiang Mai old town about 15 mins, but it was a nature atmosphere. Big room and have beautiful restroom, we are facing the pool and river view was amazing, the pool was good but the pool chair not enough for the guest, the breakfast was limited selection and staff was... We loved it here! Their service was brilliant. The ladies who worked there were so sweet and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The food and drinks were lovely. It became our little custom to sit at the restaurant and sip a little cocktail after our day's excursions. Would definitely go there again!

The room was excellent with a good view of the river and very comfortable and quiet. Staff very helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast is good, served in the restaurant with a very relaxed atmosphere . Access to town is easy with hotel providing a shuttle service or Tuk Tuk if required. If you feel like dining out close to... More

My partner and I stayed at Lanna Mantra for five nights at the beginning of July. The only think stopping me from giving a 5/5 was the somewhat rude reception we had when we first arrived. Admittedly we arrived quite late, so perhaps the man who checked us had enough for the day, but we both found he lack tact,... More

Stayed for 5 nights here. Chiang Mai in general is a quiet and laid back place. Pros: Beautiful room and view of river, swimming pool Cons: 10 min motorbike ride to town for food $30-40 a night, it had everything that you need in a room. Cable tv, comfy soft bed, good air con, swimming pool. Nothing that I can... More

Beautiful traditional thai hotel. Quiet away from the noise of Chiang mai but close enough to get taxis. Free shuttle service. Rooms clean. Outdoor maybe in need of tidying up but its low season. Friendly staff. Only issue was laundry service...my belongings came back 1.5days after i dropped them off and were returned still wet as I had to check... More
