Quiet historic property. Rooms are spacious and well equipped and have lots of Thai charm. Service was spectacular. Pepsi met us late at night to welcome us though the gates. He also served us breakfast each day and made us breakfast especially early on the morning we had to leave.

We spent 4 nights at Baan Orapin, and fell in love with this beautiful inn, and this wonderful city. The location is perfect, being within walking distance of all the markets, temples and the old city. Behind the Inns wooden gate is a hidden oasis, with its lush gardens, and lovely pool area. You would never know you are in... More

Baan Orapin is a cool, beautiful haven in Chiang Mai. It's located just outside of the old city - getting into the old city was a 100 bhat tuk-tuk ride away. We stayed 5 nights in a cottage with our own porch where we watched the little lizards at night. The amenities were perfect - a refrigerator in the room,... More

We stayed 4 nights at Baan Orapin, our second visit. It is an oasis off the road, so calm and peaceful. We had a suite in the back, very quiet. From the time we arrived to the time we left nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. Baan Orapin is in an ideal location close to the old... More

The traffic is crazy on the street but inside the gate of Baan Orapin, it’s a haven of large shady trees, beautiful buildings and calm. Our suite was lovely: super clean with furnishings that complement the traditional-style décor and a good sized patio. The location is within walking distance of the old town, market, night bazaar, shops (there are some... More

Baan Orapin is well located to some nearby restaurants and cafe's and about a 25-30min walk to Tha Pae gate; probably quicker if the foot bridge was not under repair. We did the walk a few times to the Old City area; TukTuk ranged from 100 to 200THB. We enjoyed our accommodation that had adjoining rooms for our two teenage... More

We stayed at Baan Orapin for three nights. The location of this hotel is both good and bad; good in that it is very close to riverside restaurants, but not at all walking distance to the old city centre - although tuk tuks are inexpensive and easy to find. The garden setting was lovely, the restaurant served a good breakfast,... More

My first visit to Chiang Mai and I spend a considerable time online to find and authentic and comfortable room. I am very happy that I ended up in BaanOrapin. The location was just close enough to the old city but far enough to provide a relaxing garden experience with first-class hospitality. I would recommend getting a room further into... More

I would highly recommend staying here. The property is an oasis of calm with bird chatter and tropical plants. The rooms are clean and with character and the staff friendly. Oh, the breakfast is awesome! You're not in the old city but walk for 15 minutes or 100 THb for a tuk tuk.

The hotel and the bungalows are embedded in a very nice place surrounded by tropical plants. The place is very quiet and makes you feel home immediately. There is a nice swimming pool and most of the guests were friendly families with little children. The breakfast is delicious and should not be missed. The location is somewhat out of the... More
