The room we got was on the 7th floor so it was high enough to avoid the noise from the night bazar (it is just across the street). Everything was very clean and the service was very good. The furniture were pretty old but apart from that we were very happy with everything. The outside pool was very good. We... More

Nice hotel and good size room. Next to the night market which is a must go-lots of great souvenirs, nice gift ideas, and anything Thai you can imagine! The hotel is also close to the train station which is nice. You do have to walk a little bit to the main attractions but not too far. The breakfast was a... More

This is my first trip to Thailand, so I honestly didn't know what to expect. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, really helpful with everything from handling my luggage to helping me with directions and recommendations on where to explore. The rooms are quite plain, but seeing as it was my first time here, I didn't use the room... More

It's a very old hotel. Everything in the room including the bed need an upgrade. It was rather dirty and smelly. For the same price you can find 50 better hotels in the city. It was rather noisy also. The staff was nice.

We stayed for 6 days at Royal Lanna. The staff were extremely friendly and always smiling and ready to help. The morning breakfast was also pretty great. Especially the fruit salad. The room service woman was very eager to help and would clean the room nicely. Ask for the streetside view while booking a room. We could see the Le... More

I have stayed at the Royal Lanna for 5 years now and have read some very indifferent reports on it so lets get serious about it. Lets look at the Pros and Cons. Cons 1. Yes it could use an upgrade. It is a bit 1980's and needs a bit of a "reno". 2. I would like to see a... More

Royal Lanna is a large 22-floor hotel in the night bazaar area. Looks nice from the outside and has a big, beautiful lobby. BUT...rooms are shabby and totally lacking in amenities. Old, 70s-vintages TVs with poor reception. No safe box, no in-room coffee-tea service sets, not even toilet sprayers (usually found even in very low-budget hotels). West-facing rooms views of... The Royal Lanna is a hotel with a great location to explore the night markets and city of Chiangmai. During the day the surrounding area is quiet. But when dusk sets in it is transformed into the most happening place in Chiangmai. Like I said the location of the hotel is great and it is a inexpensive hotel. Looks like... More

The hotel is massive and you won't get any kind of personal service here (to be expected). The pool is far to small to service the hotel's surplus of floors and the breakfast buffet is not up to much, even by Thai standards. The rooms are very big but basic. We were on the eleventh floor which offered some good... More

Royal Lanna Hotel in Chiang Mai, smiling and friendly staff, good breakfast buffet. The hotel itself could do with a renovation and cleaning missing and little ......... My 4 days as a whole, a lovely stay and will gladly come again, thank you.
