The hotel is located right next to very good shopping areas and the Night Bazaar. Service was very good in the hotel. The hotel itself seems to be quite old already but if you are not planning to spend a lot of time in the hotel room this can be a very good choice.

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The location is great. And in the center of the night market and all other action. But the hotel is very old and bad. The furnitures and bed looked like it was 25 years old and worned out. And the room was rather dirty also. The bathroom wasn't goid either. I travel 3-4... More

We had a great stay at the Royal Lanna. The location is great, right next to the night bazaar. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of Thai and western type foods. The staff seemed very friendly and professional which was good. The view from our room was great looking out over the city.

In my country we chuck mattresses away if they are worn less than half the amount those at this hotel were. Gross. And it was no better in the 3 alternate rooms they asked us to sample in response to my complaint. Combine that with ancient A/C that was so noisy. Don't book this hotel sight unseen (over the internet)... More

The Royal Lanna has only one redeeming feature and that is its locality to the night market. Otherwise the place is over priced for its rundown rooms with rising damp, cold showers, unappetising breakfast and poor wifi. The rooms are large but bare and quite grim with thin curtains that do not block out the light of the next door... More

Great location!!!!! Short taxi ride from the airport and close to local markets and shops. Night bazaar is only a 2 mins walk. Staff were friendly and very helpful and taxi’s were easy to find just outside hotel. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with both Asian and western dishes available. Swimming pool was good – especially on hot days! Only negative... More

Booked the hotel based on pictures I'd seen on the booking sites, but had noticed a wide variety of review swings from good to very bad.. Having now stayed there I understand the issue. I booked two superior rooms for my family on the 11th floor and upon entering the rooms I knew something was not right, while they resembled... More

This hotel is basic, has good sized rooms, a small but well maintained pool and nice breakfasts. I happen to value the quality of the breakfast above much else when staying at a hotel. It is the thing that makes me feel like I'm on holiday. One other thing that this hotel has, and is often hard to find in... More

Only stayed here because the Centara was booked out :( It is ordinary - only thing going for it is the location - GREAT location! When we arrived very late, there was a ridiculous 20 minute conversation saying we had booked and paid for 2 rooms. 1 superior and 1 deluxe. We hadn't booked 2 rooms but anyway got the... More

Horrible bed. Horrible pillows. Horrible service. Brought extra pillows per request but then staff entered room without permission to remove pillows while I was away! Will not stay here ever again. Stay away!!!
