Elderly hotel that needs to be renovated and refurbished in many parts, what currently is in progress. Location next to a temple and only 5-10min walk to Tapae Gate and the center of the old town. Standard rooms simple furnished and decorated but convenient if you don't expect more, but you have a fridge in room. Shower to use in... More

I book this to get away and sort out my thoughts for 2 days. Friendly staffs and as others have said, helpful without being intrusive. Wifi speed is reasonable and stable. Room is clean and bed is reasonably comfortable. Some mosquitoes in the lobby but that is expected in this part of the world. Lobby is warm (aircon switch off)... More

Tapae Place Hotel is in a great location- within walking distance of the nightly market as well as the big Sunday night bazaar (and a giant three-story Starbucks!). Tapae Place is clean, has free WiFi and has elevators. The views on every side are spectacular. Breakfast is good and has variety. We stayed here for three nights and it was... More

This is the second time I've stayed here, and let me start on the positives. It's in a good situation, close to Thapae Gate, the Sunday Walking Street, the night bazaar and Loy Kroh Road, although be warned, that whole area is undergoing wholesale changes due to closures of many bars and early closing restrictions of others. This may change... More

The place is old but well maintenance. Helpful staffs. Some of them can speak chinese, so there're so many Chinese tourists in the hotel. But if you're a westerner, you might be disappoint in breakfast. Cold fried egg and sausages, something that look like omelet and very bad coffee. But fried rice and fried Noodle in Soy Sauce was ok.

It’s not always easy to properly communicate exactly what a hotel actually ‘feels like’, and for many reading these reviews, that's almost an irrelevance. Afterall, we are often there but for a short time so as long as it's reasonably well placed and clean, then it's usually fine! I have to say, I view things rather differently as the 'Hotel... More
