Stayed at the Bed and Breakfast for two months. Such an incredible experience! The owners, Norachai and his wife were so kind and did a great job taking care of me. Plus their maid, Pii Tot, was also incredibly gracious and nice. She cooked dinner for me every night. Some of the best Thai food I had the whole time.... More

Just outside the exciting city Chiang Mai in one of its larger residential districts lies Jaiyamongkol B&B. I was privileged to enjoy a 2 month stay as an exchange student at the B&B and am blessed to be able to call it home. While I was living there, a few visitors came through and though they only enjoyed a short... More

I stayed here for multiple weeks as an abroad student. Everything about this place made my experience something that I will never forget, and I can't express how lucky I was to be able to stay at this incredible house with incredible people. The family and maids that live there are friendly and extremely generous, the food and amenities are... More

We have stayed at Jaiya Mongkol B&B every year for some 18 years and can only express total satisfaction. The family make you feel very much at home and are excellent hosts. The house itself is a terrific example of classic Thai housing but on a large scale, set in magnificent grounds. If you like Jim Thomson's house in BKK,... More

My friend and I stayed in Jaiya Mongkol in November 2011 and were bowled over by it. Although it is described as a B&B, it is more luxurious than that and done in a beautiful authentic Thai style teak wood. Our room was lovely, comfortable and had the most amazing views over looking the huge garden! You definitely have to... More

I want to echo all the wonderful things said about Jaiya Mongkol by the previous reviewer. We just spent several days there. It is as private and comfortable as a nice hotel, but one is made to feel like a special guest in the beautiful traditional Thai-style teak house, set in a beautiful garden in the city outskirts. We rented... More

How to describe Jaiya Mongkol?! Its a beautiful teak house just outside of Chiang Mai which is owned by a successful Thai business man and his wife. It sits in its own extensive gardens and was designed by the same architects who designed the Four Seasons hotel in Chiang Mai. The owner studied in Wales when he was younger and... More
