Ended up staying here with a large group before and after completing a jungle trek. The service was great. Before we left on our jungle trek, our group left our large packs at the hotel desk and our valuables in a hotel safe. Upon our arrival back a few days later, all of our things were still there and the... More

This hotel was booked for us as part of a group tour that we did last month. The rooms were nice and we were all put down one end of the hotel which was nice and quiet and away from too many other guests. Bathrooms were very clean and tidy, and the service was very friendly. Loved the pool too!... More

our friend helped to book this hotel and she found an ideal place for us. Our main point was to be close to everything. The city is not big, you can easily rent a motorbike via htl for 250THB to go around. Definitely worth to visit Chiang Mai's beautiful temples and Mae Rim for several attraction. The Thai Silk factory-'village'... More

Great place to stop in Chiang Mai, located very closely to the Old Town and pretty close to the big nighttime markets. The service was awesome and all amenities were awesome. The pool area is great, and trust me much needed during the heat waves!

South of the old town (3 minutes walk), traditional hotel. Quite large, clean rooms, good bedding. Friendly and helpful staff. Pool at the rear of the hotel, just on the other side of the wall, a garden with lots of chicken, so early in the morning are the roosters wake you up.

I was at the Gate a few years ago .Not much has changed. It is starting to date a little but it was safe and generally quiet and the staff were willing to help..They are a little negotiable with there prices if you upgrade and stay longer.Breakfast is included ,which was better quality than other places I have stayed at in... Very nice small hotel in great area out of the tourist area and perfect location for exploring the Old City....friendly and courteous staff. I recommend the Deluxe rooms, which although small are the most recently renovated. Great area around the pool and on the veranda to chill out or just meet friends. We stayed here for the whole summer a... More

In a very good location and has a good travel service. Rooms are very average, bathrooms very small. We had stayed here before so knew what to expect. Staff very friendly and helpful, although we did have a problem with being double billed which they to date have not sorted out. Breakfast is typical Thai but comes with the room... More

This hotel is in our opinion a good starting point for exploring the Old City and the Sunday market in Chiang Mai. These are on walking distance from the hotel max. 10min to reach. For a visit to the night market one has to rely on a taxi or tuk tuk.

you don't need to say it this hotel to use its pool. They allow people from other hostels in hotels to use it for 50 Baht(2 aussie dollars). After a little language difficulty, they let me run a tab and pay with my visa at the end, so long as I spent over 300 baht, otherwise cash. The food and... More
