Arrived late so had to have to room service food, worse than average. Dirty Plates still outside our room two days later at checkout. List of do's & don'ts in the room was very over the top, made you feel totally unwelcome. Maybe we should have written our own do's and don'ts, like clean the filthy mini bar, clear away... More

Like others, I stayed here as part of a tour. Staff were friendly and the rooms were simple, clean and reasonably comfortable. Easy walking distance to the centre of Chiang Mai and local temples or tuk tuk to night market. Also nice to stay just outside the bustle of the centre, with plenty of thai massage places and cafes/bakeries or... More

The room was good. We lucked out with a king size bed, but our air conditioning didn't really work and there was no hot water the first night. Also, there was a notice on the walls everywhere that the pool was closed for 'Maintenance', but really it was closed for two days for a wedding and then another notice went... More

this is a budget hotel, not luxury. It seems a lot of tour groups stay here ( including myself, part of a G Adventures tour) my room had 3 beds and was huge. I could hear everything going on around my room, people showering, coughing, talking on both side of my room. Not to mention all the Chinese tourists shouting... More

We stayed 1 night at Chiang Mai Gate because our original hotel was booked for the first night. Good value for the money, however I do want to talk about an incident with the rude unprofessional staff there. Apparently there is a $500 baht charge for dirty or damaged towels. We were told the sign was in the room, however... More

The location of this establishment is good, being only a short walk from the old city and other amenities. My room had some maintenance issues. The frame of the sliding doors on to the balcony had become detached from the wall to which it had formerly been fixed and the lining under one of the chairs seats had been ripped... More

The bed was clean and comfortable, the hot water worked, the pool was clean, the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was really good (all I needed). It was a safe place to come back to after a big day of adventure. The wi-fi wasn't really flash and continuously dropped out or would let me sign on.

A well positioned hotel that is adequate but not luxurious by any means. The wifi sucks and so does the showers, if you get a room on the back you don't need an alarm clock, cockerels wake you up at 04.30 Breakfast - they had one 2 slice toaster, they need more.... Fried eggs need to be warm not cold....... More

Close to restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, laundry services, massage places etc. Rooms are a good size and the breakfast has got sufficient options in buffet. The pool is nice with plenty of beds if you wish to relax there.
