A decent hotel in a very good location. The rooms are very big and rather good. I had a nice view against the mountains. The buffe breakfast was so so. Often cold or nearly finished. But sometimes good. The staff very friendly and nice. My only complain would be the elevators. To few elevators for such a large hotel. Often... More

I stayed with my family recently, and it is quite good for most of the facilities. Room is clean and big, breakfast excellent. Receptionists are very helpful, indeed. Tried the gym, steam bath and sauna, and these are of high quality. With the price paid, it is value for money. Near Night Bazaar too. Would recommend to friends

This hotel is highly over rated. Vinyl flooring in the room with worn-out carpet in the hallway. Doorman was not that helpful. They quoted a taxi fare ride to the airport which was a hundred baht more than the norm. We don't mind paying, but do not want to feel that we are a bunch of suckers. We figured out... More

I have read some bad, some good reviews of this hotel. I have also read that it is undergoing some renovation. In that case I can only comment that I must have had a recently refurbished room. It was clean, spacious and of a high standard of which I have no complaints. Check in was efficient and courteous with minimal... More

This is my second stay here, first was in April during Songkran. Good location and clean room, very important. I have no issues here but this trip I was not able to have afternoon nap due to the renovation going right above me. It's alright though as I fully understand hotel must upgrade due to old age. So I went... More

Rooms are huge but in need of refurbishment. The location of the hotel is great though, and during night times, there will be whole stretch of night market within the vicinity. An overall average stay.

If you just need a good value base to explore chaing mai from then this will do you just fine. The rooms need refurbishing, our bathroom had been redecorated but the bedroom hadn't. The bed is huge and super comfy and breakfast is good...a western section, thai section and an Indian one....so yes we tried them all.It has no wow... More

Centara suited my needs as I spent most my time in Chiang Mai on some amazing tours or out and about. Location couldn't have been better. Getting around, no problem. Night Bazar nearby is great. Hotel & Room) Neglected hotel, and I found the bathrooms dirty, mouldy+++ and I had the misfortune of having to remove the plug so water... More

I live in Thailand and stay in Chiang Mai regularly. I recently received a free night after booking 10 nights through 'Booking.com' after travelling through Europe. My value of this night was 2400 Baht, so I thought I would spend it in one go at a top hotel. I usually stay in 400-600 baht guesthouses so I had extremely high... More

I stayed two nights here on the recommendation of a hospo person on Koh Phangan. Very glad I did. Booking direct by email was easy (I like actual communication rather than that auto booking crap). The hotel is clearly a 70s or 80s special and is getting on a bit but that was one of the things I liked the... More
