The stay was fine, the location fairly central, the bed not to hard and comfortable, breakfast was good. Their were a few mosquito like bugs in the room at night however they did not seem to bite. The only problem was that I was charged twice for my stay- the first time they zipped my card I was told their... More

This place is really disappointing - scruffy and un-cared for. The 'view' out of our room window was onto scrubland with a plastic rubbish bag in pride of place, and the wall next to our bed was covered in splashes of what I hope was coffee. When we asked that it was cleaned up, this was done - but why... More

Stayed here in October 2014 and found the rooms were not well kept. There were stains and mould on the wall which, even when pointed out to management, were not cleaned. The bathroom is awful with bare plaster walls and stained shower curtain. The room safe sits on the bedside table and can be picked up as it is not... More

We booked two nights in their Suite category and got to regret the descision many times over. Why: - The room wasn't properly cleaned upon arrival. There were stains on the toilet seat and the outside shower hadn't been cleaned for a good while. - It took more than 2 hours(!!) to fill the bathtub because of the very slow... More

our second time staying in the Karinthip - room was great for us as a family - biggest room we have had in Thailand but the whole place could do with a proper clean up, tidy up and general sort out. Breakfast is a disaster - nothing hot or fresh but at least there is a toaster!! However, plenty of... More

As many others have written this place deserves a better management and attention for the guests as for the broken tiles. The netsurfing staff could spend time doing repair and cleaning . It is difficult for clients to use the wi-fi if the capacity is used by 10 young staff surfing during their working hours. Breakfast is more than poor.... More

This village is not big as "village". The hotel photo with the pool actually showed all the hotel buildings except the canteen. We 3 girls shared a family room on the 1st floor. The room is quite big comparing with other ones in the old city. However the decoration/assessories are quite dated and not antique style at all. Just basic... More

We travel to Chiangmai every year for work. We bring our family children aged 7 and 9. We needed a place with a family room. 2 single beds and 1 queen bed, and a pool for children. Karintip village ticked all boxes when booking. We arrived and staff were disengaged but reasonably friendly. Our family room was a good size.... More

The Karinthip is really great located! The Hotel has a great pool area and returning from a trip in that quiet oasis could be great if the furniture would be in better condition... We stayed there several times over the last years and have been more and more disappointed every time. This time we moved out after 3 horrible nights... More

Rooms for the price are OK although lighting is generally poor. I had to be moved from what they called the Chinese room as it was not even possible to read a book. Views from windows are lousy and one room I stayed in looked onto roofs and a dump area. Breakfasts are very mediocre. Suggest not bothering and going... More
