I stayed at Suan Bua 2 times. Everything gave me relaxing feeling. I went in December when the weather was cool. Air conditioner was actually not needed. I opened the windows instead. Staffs were nice and smily. It was fun trying to speak northern dialect. This resort was easy to go to Sa Mueng hill where you will enjoy the... More

I spent four days at Suan Bua resort as part of a camp. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well stocked. I found the giant glass window in the bathroom rather odd though. Thank goodness there were blinds otherwise your roommate would get an eyeful of you in the shower. As part of the camp, we requested vegetarian food and... More

We visited this resort during a recent trip to Chiang Mai. We stayed here as part of a camp that was organized by our friends. The resort area is huge and full of greenery. It is some distance away from the city but its a good place to truly relax and be immersed in the natural surroundings. It is a... More

We stayed here as part of a large group conference, the staff was very friendly, accommodations were great. The rooms were larger than the average hotel with a flat screen TV (3 English Channels: 1) CNN, 2) Fox Sports, and 3) Fox Movies) small fridge and an interesting shower with a large window facing the room--there was a blind that... I spent 4 nights at Suan Bua as part of a conference. The grounds are beautiful with water, flowers, and buildings well laid out. Conference food was consistently tasty and plentiful, a mix of Thai and western. My room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, not luxurious. Internet was a bit weak even in lobby. The surrounding countryside is hilly, wooded.... More

Our group of 25 had a great stay. The grounds are beautiful (mostly), with lots of places to walk and a peaceful atmosphere. The service is fine - not a lot of English, but there's usually someone around to make your needs understood. Breakfast wasn't much, but we had a wide variety of excellent food at our lunches and dinners... More

Located at the 22 kilometer marker, the resort is very beautiful, well managed, and well maintained. It is very peaceful located in the Samoeng mountains. Staff are very nice. Rooms are big, nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was average but nice. Should have your own transportation as it is a bit far. New Year's Eve party outside with huge Thai/international... More

Suan Bua is up a mountain and outside Chiang Mai. It is in a lovely setting, nice to take a walk around the grounds. The swimming pool is to be closed as it needs some urgent repair. The meals were good, although i think they have cut down on their buffet breakfasts. Suan bua is popular with our organization. It... More

A little away from Chian May this hotel in the middle of a beautiful park is a haven of peace. More are located just in the mountains it is there a little less stuffy than in the city. Furthermore the rooms are very spacious and furnished in true Thai style.

We booked this country side hotel without understanding how far from Chiang Mai it was located. The taxi charged 900 B for the trip. Beautiful and well maintained garden, large room was ok but the huge hotel was empty! Only one additional guest. The "SPA" looked like not been used in 25 years. Next day suddenly the place was filled... More
