The place has a good location and one of the very few with a decent swimming pool in the low price range. The 500 bt rooms are big, got a big fridge and cable TV. the aircon is just working, the water at the best lukewarm. normally the room gets cleaned daily otherwise just talk to the cleaning women. The... More

I've been traveling for over two months and these are the most comfortable beds I've encountered on my trip. The rooms are basic. Not dirty as some have posted. Just dated. The place could definitely use an makeover. The pool is clean and very nice and the restaurant on the property, Juice at Joe's is very good and inexpensive. Toy,... More

We were there 2 nights. When we arrived the woman said the room is 500 bath and if you stay it will be 400 bath the night after. We went into the room, sooooo dirty. There was no toilet paper and the trash bin in the toilet was still full. There was dust everywhere, the blankets were very old and... More

If you are a budget traveller, this is a very good location and the hotel is very friendly and rooms were clean but dated, of course. We've stayed twice and if we went back to Chiang Mai it's where we would head for again.

We stayed here for 7 days then later returned for 3 more. The rooms are basic but have little balconies and a fridge. Don't get me wrong, it's not the Ritz but it's not pretending to be. The rooms are cheap and functional with hot showers. Bathrooms are a little ugly but who cares? The things that won us over... More

Cheap room, bed was ok, room wasn't really clean. Bathroom was terrible, shower broken, everything very very old. With that price we didn't expect much. Luckily we just stayed 3 nights. It's not a place i would reccomend. We just stayed to save money for the next hotels around Thailand

In every possible way, this place is ready to be demolished. The place was filthy and we found someones swimming trunks and bikinis in the toilet. There was a small extra room with an unclosable window. Fortunately the "room" had had a door previously, but since it was broken off, we could block the window with the door. I seriously... More

This hotel has to be one of the worst experience of my entire Thailand trip. After travelling 10hours on a bus from Bangkok to Chang Mai overnight the only thing we wanted when we arrived at this hotel was a hot shower and nice bed for a few hours sleep..HOWEVER what we got was stale old dirty rooms with bed... We stayed in a clean family suite (2 bedrooms + living room), but this part of the hotel is very close to a boxing stadium - so it is very noisy up to midnight. But from a strategic point of view the hotel is located at a good place. The room was with 3600 THB per night not really cheap.... More

Top North Guest House has the same owner as the Top North Hotel. Located centrally in a cozy little street. Has a small swimming pool and a restaurant. Can be a little noisy, especially in the morning when the tour buses start.
