THe Park Hotel in Chiang Mai is an established facility but still very comfortable. The staff is extremely accommodating - ready to help as they can. The dining room food is very tasty - they even try to have some dishes for us Westerners. The rooms are nice, beds comfortable, the bathroom first class. They make sure you have a... More

My first impressions of this hotel were not very positive. The guest rooms are quaint and spacious but with very dated furnishings - mentioned must be made of the bulky old fashioned television set with limited English channels (three, by my count). Room amenities are very standard but nothing that surpasses expectations. I had booked a Deluxe room that promised... More

The breakfast had a good variety of Chinese & western items from 6 - 10 a.m. and the servers were very helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't see any Thai items. Both the stairs and elevator accessed the rooftop pool which was just long enough for laps (around 16 meters). It was unheated and seemed to maintain the average 24 hour temperature... More

We found this lovely classic hotel through booking.com on our last night in Thailand, unexpectedly coming back to Chiang Mai 1 night before leaving. We loved the amazing room and amenities: sweets and complimentary drinks on arrival, bouquet of fresh roses delivered to room, extra comfortable bed, huge space, and awesome view of the mountains and sunset. It took us... More

the hotel is not one of new boxes. It is old style, I don't know when it was built. Everything inside is great and large. The foyer, the dining rooms, and also the bedrooms are very big with a large sitting area. The hotel is very clean, and the service, like in the whole of Thailand is excellent. It is... More

The foyer is nice. The rooms are roomy. The TV is very old and the bathroom clean but dated. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately you had to buy Internet, the breakfast was ordinary and there were no tea or coffee making facilities In the rooms. I don't think I would stay there again, however, as there... More

Yes its old as what i've read from the previous posts but other than that the hotel is fantastic! Breakfast was great! The pool at the top floor was nice! The view from the room was picturesque. Not that near from the old city but not far either. Perfect location. Very quiet place. Also they have surprise free flowers and... More

To be fair, the staff is genuinely friendly and forthcoming. I cannot fault the service levels nor do I complain about the rooms. Yes, the decor is decades-old, but the interiors are well maintained and the bed comfortable. The breakfast buffet is definitely nothing to rave about and the price probably a bit high for a place of this calibre.

1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2014

Stayed for four nights with my husband and parents during the Christmas rush. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it is clean. Otherwise, they haven't updated the rooms in the past twenty years. Shabby blankets, dated television set, no inroom safe, no proper hair dryer, obnoxious Internet policies that totally contradict their online advertisements,... More

Our family has stayed here 3 times now. There are 5 of us and we get adjoining rooms. The prices are very reasonable for this level quality hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, and convenient location. Easy to get tuk-tuk or songtao outside the hotel.
