If you're a fan of Chiang Mai's famous Night Market, the location of this hotel is difficult to beat, just a two minute walk away. The rooms though, are looking very dated. Carpet is marked and dirty, bathrooms have missing tiles and appear stained. TV is a late 90's model, and there is a lack of plug sockets anywhere near... More

Really close to night market. Comfy bed. That's about it. Rooms are pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for. Had high expectations when we checked in and they upgraded us from the double room that we had booked to a junior suite. Unfortunately, the air con did not work at all and, after trying to fix it twice,... More

I always stay here on visits to Chinag Mai - the hotel appears old fashioned and perhaps dowdy becausen they stay with the old wooden colours - service I find good - English language perhaps a little unsure, but effort to please - most inportantly accommodation always clean and neat - generally some water problems like leaking tap in bathroom,... After three days in another hotel in the old town of Chiang Mai we moved to Star Hotel, which is out of the old town. We found that the hotel was old and the room smelt to tobacco. It was a non-somker room but people had smoked there. Moreover there was a sofa in the room and it was too... More

I only give this hotel 3 stars due to its location, convenient to both the old city and night market. The rooms are unconsistently cleaned. The first room they gave us had dirty carpets, was stuffy, smelled bad, and did not have cold water. The second room did meet what I would consider a basic standard of cleanliness, though nothing... Location's good. It's only 3 minutes walk to the night market and restaurants. The facilities are basic but enough, so is the breakfast. However, the furnishing is old, but quite clean. One downside is that you can hear noises from the corridor, even the phone rings from next door.

This hotel was Okay. We have previously stayed around the corner in the Royal Princess which costs a little more but is much nicer but we stayed here to save money. It's an older hotel but they have kept it clean and contemporary. The room was okay. You could tell it was old, lots of paint missing, scratches, general wear... More

have checked in on the 21st of June. The room is clean & comfortable but without a view as it is surrounded by other hotels. The hotel is located in the company of Duangtang & is just a lane away from the 'night market'. The Sunday market is also walkable. The buffet breakfast is monotonous, but the Thai section has... This hotel is in an excellent location close to the Night Bazaar with multiple eating options nearby and several bar areas. However, the hotel is in a quiet location off the main street. The room was quite clean. The room includes a desk, some chairs, sofa, a large wardrobe, slippers, free tea/coffee, 2 free bottles of water, a kettle and free... More
