I have travelled the world extensively and can say, this is by far the dirtiest hotel I have ever been to. The first room given had left over packs of crisps left and a dirty bathroom when I arrived. The switches to turn on the lights had dirty finger prints, and the furniture was in disrepair. I asked to be... More

If it wouldn't be about the location there would be nothing good on that place. It's old and not maintened - you're always waiting that a hord of bugs are running over the bed. They not even provide Hangers in the ward and there are not possibilities to hang something in the bathromm (in the whole room) not even for... More

My wife and I spent one evening at the Star Hotel, Chiang Mai. Although we had booked for 3 nights we checked out after one! The hotel carpet, foyer, lifts, hallways and rooms is very badly stained. The room furniture is chipped, old and dated and their is no swimming pool. The manager and staff were friendly and accommodating. The one... More

I only stayed here for one night but it had everything I needed. Apart from a pool but you can literally go next door and use the centara pool for 6 pounds for the whole day if the whether is nice. You can tell that this hotel was once very nice indeed and I think it just needs a bit... More

Stayed at the. Hotel as part of a school based trip to Thailand. Our preferred accommodation Centara Duangtwan was booked out, but this proved to be a most adequate replacement. The rooms appear to have been recently refurbished, although the bathroom door still shows it age, However the room was large, clean and comfortable and as noted by most, close... More

we stayed in star hotel chiang mai from 27-30 sept. the hotel is located in a smaller path and not easy to be located, it will be more easier if you tell the driver of songthaew or tuk tuk centara hotel, as it is just located behind it. however we were glad that the hotel's staffs are friendly and offered... The hotel has a nice location. Close to all the busy areas, restaurants & bars. The staff was very friendly and nice. We also used their safe at the reception and all our belongings were intact. The only problem was the rooms were not so clean. We remember seeing cockroaches in the bathroom. They would send someone to use insect... More

For the cheap price, this hotel is brilliant! It's close to the bars and night market. But not right on top of it all so you do get some peace and quiet when you need it. The hotels close are much more expensive when I checked up on them. The rooms are a decent size and clean. The food they... More
