We were passing by and it began to rain the owner offered us to step inside whilst the rain stopped, she gave us free water and snacks and was so kind and welcoming. We decided to stay for dinner and the food was excellent and cheap, the place has just been extended and is just a cool place. The owner... More

From the outside this hotel looks quite nice, but it's very deceiving!! When we got to our room the bathroom had what appeared to be poo smeared on the wall by the toilet. When we asked them to come up and clean it all the guy did was spray our bathroom down with water. We went on a jungle trek... More

Great quiet location close to night bazaar and not expensive. Rooms small but adequate. Fridge & aircon much appreciated. Staff very friendly & keen to help. Bar serves a wide range of good value Thai food and does excellent smoothies.

We got this place when it was on special for like 367B for 3 nights with 2 people..absolute score. So close to everything, and amazingly clean for the price. Air con and good WiFi. Would not change a thing, contrary to the other review the staff have been nothing but super sweet and helpful with organising everything. Would highly recommend,... More

The staff were rude and ignorant. Were very unhelpful. When we arrived we told them that we would pay for the room in a few hours time and i would leave my credit card with them until my work wages came through. This was 'ok' yet they asked every 15 minutes when the room was getting paid for. AS soon... More

What can I say you get what you pay for, I think it was about $10 a night. The room itself is fine, I'll start with the good points: Decent sized room Free breakfast which was tasty (I'm vegan so they adopted the fried rice for me to have only vegetables and if tasted nice, so I think the wider... Really nice stay in Chiang Mai in buddy guesthouse. Rooms are small and not perfectly clean but still okay. Excellent location and staff really helpful (not those in the morning though!) funny place I would recommend if you're on a low budget.

Buddy guesthouse has been a really good experience, you can sit in the downstairs lobby at night and meet new people and the owner and her dog buddy, the namesake of the hotel. You get a breakfast included in your meal as well as water each day provided in bottles or to fill up in the pitcher downstairs. It has... More

The staff are very friendly and speak English very well. We felt safe and welcomed during our stay. It's location is slightly removed from the main road but it takes 3mins to find everything you need. I recommend booking a cooking class through the hostel - the Asia Scenic Cooking school - if you do a day long course you... More
