Hostel was lovely, really modern and normally quite clean, the dorm bathrooms in particular could do with a bit more attention. Really close to the Night Market. Even had a kitchen, first Thai hostel we've stayed in with one which was great. Staff were not helpful at all though. Tried to book a taxi to the airport the morning of... More

Stayed here for one week with a friend. Really nice hostel, cool atmosphere. Rooms are really nice, air con is great. Showers could be a little cleaner but work fine with hot water. Staff a bit strange, not the usual Thai welcome you get in other places. Avoid booking activities through reception (especially from the books they have on the... More

So happy with our stay here. Perfect location as 2min walk to night market. Our room was extremely clean and spacious.... AC was incredible as we made our room an "ice box". Laundry machines in lobby. Staff didn't speak great English but good enough. Best hostel so far on trip around SE Asia. Stay here!!!

My friends and I stayed here one night before we went to Pai and one night after we came back, we got the triple room (one single and a double) the rooms are very clean, however the sheets are ripped and the doorway to the bathroom is way too short (have to duck to get in). The first night we... More

I took a bed in 4-bed female dorm, which was definitely clean, but overall, the hostel is overrated. I have stayed in hostels earlier but a shabby bathroom for the whole floor, neh! I would prefer a single bathroom for every multibedded rooms. They do not even provide towel, you have to rent it out. No toiletries, which is fine,... More

I stayed there 3 nights. It is well located. few steps from the night market, great temples, and the Lemongrass restaurant. Not far also from the river and iron gate. The hostel is very clean. Rooms are a good value for money and bathrooms are clean and modern. The reception is a little bit rude and sometimes it was difficult... More

I have not written a bad review in two months, but I feel that Sohostel deserves one, as I wish I hadn't stayed here. Overall the worst thing about this hostel is the staff and vibe. I've never come across ruder Thai people in 6 weeks of travel. The ladies at the front desk are unhelpful and rude even when... More

It's a big hostel. Lot of dorms, lot of people all the time walking around. I've been there at the Sonkran Festival, so I don't know how is it in the rest of the year, but when I've been there it was crazy. Well, talking about the dorms, the rooms are very good. A large (and hard as everyone in... More

This hostel (can be fooled as a hotel) was perfect for us! (Me and girlfriend) only a short walk to main patty area, big common area everyone drinks at before going out, toilets clean, room very well air conditioned, stayed here for songkran and loved it!

Clean.. Modern.. Good location. The reception can arrange a lot of tours and activities for you. Staff can be a little stand off ish (hence 4 not 5 stars) but nothing to worry about. There are lots of places to eat and bars nearby so happy days. Even has a kitchen if you want to save money eating out and... More
