Second only to the late James Brown, Kai would have to be the hardest working man in show business. With a seemingly endless supply of both information and service, Kai made this place worth staying. Nothing was too much to ask, the guy seems to have contacts where others would meerly refer you onwards. I got last minute accommodation in... More

Kai (the owner) was amazing - nothing was ever too much. Booked our Woodys elephant park day trip through Kai, had an awesome day and we got collected from the hostel and dropped off there! AC room is good, not much more expensive than fan. Hostel is near the night market and temples. Showers were hot and good pressure. Would... More

A great hostel, and contributed MASSIVELY to my fantastic time in Chiang Mai. - A great social area that can provide you with breakfast/lunch, amazing smoothies saving you needing to leave the hostel if you want to recharge in the morning. Also easy to meet other travellers if backpacking alone, which I was. Perfect for the solo traveller. - For... More

This hostel was great. Kai is probably the friendliest and most helpful guy in Thailand! There is a great common area and the girls make a mean iced coffee! The hostel is v clean and comfortable. I would really recommend this hostel, especially for solo travellers!

I stayed here for 2 nights. Khai was wonderfully helpful when I showed up after long day of travel he sorted me with trek booking and a really fun cooking class. Also got me sorted when I needed a flight ticket last minute and fast taxi!!!. The guesthouse was really quiet being low season but it was nice to get... More

Khai and his staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Always have time to answer a question about where to find something, and if they don't know, they'll often ask neighbours or direct you to someone who will. Khai helped book my travel to Hanoi, and gave several suggestions about how to do things when traveling on a budget. Having just... More

Hotel is centrally located. It was spacious courtyard and a rather good dining hall. Service standard is good and staffs are attentive. Breakfast selection is acceptable and decent quality. Overall a very acceptable hotel.

We chose Thailandwow based on reviews we had read online. We don't have too high of standards for hostels (especially at this price point) - mainly cleanliness and a good atmosphere are what we are looking for. Writing this review because I think other travelers should know what they are getting into... So here are the negatives: I killed several... More

I stayed in Chiang Mai for 2 weeks during Songkran and after meeting some really cool people from ThailandWow during the festivities, checked in on my return from Pai. Kai is so much fun, and there is a great atmosphere. The location may seem off the beaten path, but it is easy to get around and Kai can help with... More
