cannot describe how much I love this place. The price was surprisingly cheap, only $15/night for a private double room with balcony which is unbelievable! It's located on a very quite street so there's no noise thus there a front yard for you to park your vehicles. Five minutes on tuktuk or red truck to get to the city centre... More

Sunshine House is a great budget hotel. It's located in the heart of Old City and is surrounded by excellent eateries. Both clean and comfortable, Sunshine House is one of the nicer budget hotels in Chiang Mai. The aircon worked well and the staff was friendly. I'll stay here next time we're in Chiang Mai.

Sunshine House was recommended by a friend who stayed here every time she's in Chiangmai. I was quite apprehensive at first as I have never stayed in a guesthouse before. As I would be in Chiangmai for at least 10 days, staying in an expensive hotel was out of the question so I decided to go ahead n book it.... More

Sunshine hotel was one one of the best I've been in Thailand so far. We stayed there for 3 weeks, and even though people told us we cold find cheaper places, I doubt would've been better, most of the other hotels are quite old. We still find 15 usd per day quite a deal. Big room, new building, very comfortable,... More

Thats how I describe this place, value for the money, and the staff. I have stayed in hotels ranging from $10-$600 a night and I can tell you for the value, this place is at the top. Its cheap, always clean, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I almost don't want to tell anyone how great this hotel... More

I don't understand reviewers who only give two 'stars' to this hotel and make nit-picking comments. There is nothing wrong with this hotel - it is great value for money, clean, comfortable with very able and helpful staff. To make comments like "..their apparent money-making scheme.." and "please put the sigh [sic] board to info hotel guest can not have... More

This place was such a pleasant surprise. Our room was very large with big windows providing a view of the mountains, even the bed was large and comfortable. Slippers, soap, shampoo and shower caps are provided. On top of this the service was great! There is a laundry room which also has a microwave and kettle( microwave meals and washing... More

First day to entry inside the hotel, is cozy and nice, but some of the door on guest room have a small leak which you can see through inside the room. And one more thing, please put the sigh board to info hotel guest can not have food or drink at lobby, if not you will get scold. If you... More

Far more than expected, despite the location. You can reach anywhere easily with tuk-tuk ride. Double thumbs up for the room price. Guesthouse is clean and quiet. Walking distance to tesco and some local food stalls.

My partner and I stayed one week at Sunshine House and had a positive experience. It's not the most charming place in the neighborhood, but it's pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are good value for the price, especially compared to the guesthouses in the Old City. They are fairly large, and many of them have big windows. Our room was... More
