The rooms are modern, clean, good showers and it is a quiet area at night. Double beds are hard to come by in the busy season though.we had twin beds. Visit nana bakery about three blocks beyond the traffic circle if you want croissants etc. short walk to shopping centre. staff are very helpful. The area is convenient to Chiang... More

Good location with best price. Hotel located at quite street, not noisy. Great room and staff are helpful. Have 24hrs convenience stores and local eating places nearby. Prices are cheaper than those inside Old city. Feeling hungry at night time, just walk a minute to have some food. Very convenient and safe. About 20 mins walk to Chang Phuak Gate.... More

The staff make the difference in this small hotel. The reception staff are relaxed and unintrusive but, also, very friendly and genuinely good fun if you get chatting with them. While bigger hotels in Thailand apparently struggle to find staff with anything beyond basic English, the reception staff here all seem to be fluent, in particular Nee, Kan and Liu.... More

Located in a quiet street, (vegan) restaurants + supermarkets around the corner, close to old town and nimman area. Beautiful bright and sunny room, which was a joy to come 'home' to! Friendly staff at the reception, but a bit disappointed in the cleanness of the room. Was perfect when we arrived but after a couple of days the dust... More

cannot describe how much I love this place. The price was surprisingly cheap, only $15/night for a private double room with balcony which is unbelievable! It's located on a very quite street so there's no noise thus there a front yard for you to park your vehicles. Five minutes on tuktuk or red truck to get to the city centre... More

Sunshine House is a great budget hotel. It's located in the heart of Old City and is surrounded by excellent eateries. Both clean and comfortable, Sunshine House is one of the nicer budget hotels in Chiang Mai. The aircon worked well and the staff was friendly. I'll stay here next time we're in Chiang Mai.

Sunshine House was recommended by a friend who stayed here every time she's in Chiangmai. I was quite apprehensive at first as I have never stayed in a guesthouse before. As I would be in Chiangmai for at least 10 days, staying in an expensive hotel was out of the question so I decided to go ahead n book it.... More

Sunshine hotel was one one of the best I've been in Thailand so far. We stayed there for 3 weeks, and even though people told us we cold find cheaper places, I doubt would've been better, most of the other hotels are quite old. We still find 15 usd per day quite a deal. Big room, new building, very comfortable,... More
