I’d first booked this hotel when I booked our internal flights through Air Asia. I followed their links for suggested hotels in Chiang Mai and ended up paying a lot more than what I should. So I wrote directly to the hotel and they upgraded us to an Executive room and also arranged for a driver and vehicle to meet... More

Good value/clean hotel...beds very firm.Rooms good size and clean.Wifi logins a bit fiddly but ok. The price when i booked trip and hotel via expedia was exceptional. Service was excellent. Position not too far from walking street/night bazaar by taxi/tuk tuk.Didn't have time to use the pool/spa Recommend this hotel and will stay again when in Chiang mai

Nice hotel, with good rooms and a varied breakfast. Good location too within walking distance from the Chaing Mai night market. It's almost hidden away from the main street. If you don't look carefully you can miss it. But that is good because it gives it a certain privacy.

The hotel is a tuc-tuc away from the famous night market at Chiang Mai. The rooms are fair, and the hotel seems to always be crowded, with people coming in and out all the time. We had 4 rooms, and they were each in a different floor, despite our advanced reservation. The rooms are small, but clean. As it happens... More

With 18 floors and conference facilities this hotel does not give you that friendly feel that you might be looking for after experiencing other Thai hotels. The staff tried to do their best but the sheer weight of guests that were coached in each day meant that for the discerning traveller, you were caught up in the ebb and flow... More

We stayed at the Empress for 15 days in November, really enjoyed the Loy Krathong festival, if you've never seen it you should try to come to Chiang Mai during the festival and enjoy the parades and hundreds of Lanterns. This time I booked our stay through the hotel themselves instead of through a booking website, so we did get... More

I spent a week at the Empress hotel for a conference. The hotel is clean and has nice amenities like a fridge in the room, and the price is fantastic! The location is decent with a really nice massage place just next door and an easy walk to the night market that has lots of choices for dinner. They charge... More

This is a large hotel and very efficiently run. The rooms, corridors etc are all well maintained. The pool is fantastic and it's only 80 baht in a tuk-tuk back from the night market. It's not new and modern in it's styling but it's comfortable and clean.

The hotel was very good, a full 4 star hotel. Good location - just 1 km to the night market - and clean rooms. The breakfast was good! I was there was New Year's Eve and honestly the gala dinner was awful, tacky and noisy. Also I went for the chocolate fountain but it was turned off and they didn't... More
