Located on the top of the hill 850 m above the sea level and about 30 km from the city, the hotel is surrounded by nature. It is great for people looking for a break from the busy city life. Do not expect anything but nature. The staff do not speak English, there is no spa, no internet, no TV... More

Hmong Hilltribe Lodge is far, far away from the bustle of the tourist spots. It is not a good base location from which to explore the city of Chiang Mai or the usual landmarks. However, after you have visited those attractions and stayed elsewhere during the first days of your trip, come to Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for some quality downtime... More

This place is amazing. The rooms are basic BUT clean and cosy. I stayed for just one night as part of a tour and I was really looking forward to the experience. It truly delivered even though there was a huge thunder storm and the BBQ was moved inside. The evening finished with entertainment from the local people. The rooms... More

We stayed here for just one night as part of a Golden Triangle tour. we really wished it could have been longer. The rooms are set in beautful grounds and are bungalow style with a balcony. Wonderful accomodation and a great pool.We watched a Hmong dance show in the evening after an excellent BBQ. Fully recommend this place.

The Hmong Lodge provides a comfortable change of pace from Chiang Mai. The cabin units are divided into four rooms with a common area. Each room has their own bathroom/shower. The grounds and setting are very tranquil and there is a nice outdoor pool. In the evening the Hmong provide a cultural show - be sure and get a program... More

We have never stayed anywhere like this before - the location and ambiance of the place is what does it. If you are looking for 5 star luxury with air conditioning, spas etc etc then this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for something a bit different in a jungle setting yet only a short... More

This place is "in the middle of nowhere" but only 20 minutes off the main road north of Chiang Mai and reasonably convenient to the nearby tourist attractions (elephant camps, gardens, etc.). Not sure I'd want to stay more than a night, but as a one-night stopover it's a great experience. The rooms are only 3 star plus quality --... More

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Hmong Hilltribe lodge and found it so difficult to leave and go back to Chiang Mai city. We were the only people staying there our first night and they gave us the most unbelievable room overlooking the rice fields. The grounds are amazing - lovely lanterns lighting every path and... After a long winding drive up to the lodge, we weren't at all sure about the place when we arrived just before dusk. But after being shown to our room and a wander around the grounds and we were totally won over. The rooms are actually bungalows with four rooms and a central lobby area with cane furniture. The room... More
