We only had an overnight stay here but easily could have stayed longer, the rooms were dark but comfortable, the tour group that we were with had the place to ourselves so was very relaxing and we spent the afternoon in the pool and then the local people put a show on for us at night, altogether a very pleasing... An excellent place to unwind, far from the maddening crowd of bangkok. This place gives you the feel of typical tribal setting. Great place to head to adventure destinations, elephant camps, tiger kingdom etc...can feel a bit scary at night. Excellent food. Me being a veggie, the lodge went out of its way to prepare excellent veg food. Well maintained... More

We spent two days at the above lodge and roughly enjoyed our time here. We interacted with members of the Hmong tribe and got to do a trek through the village which was awesome. The ladies from the tribe spoke fluent English which added to the education. I would highly recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to... More

We stayed at the Hilltribe Lodge as part of a tour.Rooms are located in groups of 4 within bungalows spread around the site with communal seating. There's a larger building at the entrance which is the reception, bar and eating area which is approached from the road by quite steep steps, the pool (with only a few loungers) is towards... More

Spent 2 days here in January after being in the city for 4 days. What a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. It's a bit of a choir finding someone who is willing/able to get us there, but we managed to find a taxi-truck who agreed to take us there and pick us up to take us to the... More

We were on a five day tour of the golden triangle, stopping off at Hmong Tribehill lodges, lafor Alan overnight stay, what a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a night. An evening b-b-q was the meal for that night, candle lit, very interesting, tasty local food as well as kebab prepared food with all the trimmings. Delicious.

Had a great overnight stay. The buildings are very much in the local style with bamboo walls and hardwood floors. Although the interiors are a little tired and there is no aircon, this didn't detract from the stay. There is also a great pool with fab views. We had a buffet of BBQ kebabs and local Thai dishes for dinner... More

We arrived late in the afternoon and had a swim in the pool which although cold was very refreshing! The rooms were quite basic but that's what I was expecting. There is wifi available in the reception area. The evening buffet meal by candlelight was good but I wished I had warmer clothes to wear that evening! The local entertainment... More

It seems that this place is located far away from everything and everyone. It is high up the mountain, about 45 min drive from Chiang Mai and not all taxi drivers even know where it is (or willing to take you there). But once you do get there, it is breathtaking and so incredibly quiet. Best night sleep in a... More

Hmong Lodge was a very quiet resort in North Chiang Mai. I was there for a night before we took a car to other Mountain. The surrounding was great. There was so peaceful in night time and the weather was perfect. When I woke up in the morning, I could see very beautiful rice field around this area. I was... More
