We stayed at the CM Orchid as part of a large conference. My main impression is that it was just a bit tired and in serious need of modernisation. Pros 1. Comfortable bed, we slept well 2. Had good TV channels - could watch Wimbledon! 3. Breakfast was pretty good Cons 1. Ancient decor (although reasonably well maintained) 2. Wifi... More

At one time this was the grandest hotel in Chiang Mai. It has hosted the King and Queen of Thailand, the Emperor of Japan, and Prince Charles and Diana It is still an important meeting place for local businesses and others. I will explain others later. However, while it has a very good restaurant, first class service and a great... More

This is a top class hotel. The swimming pool was a bit green but the water was clean. All you can eat breakfast and spacious rooms. Rooms include a mini bar, lock safe, tv area and flat screen tv. In a good part of town with a convenience store on the other side of the street. Lovely accommodating staff. Allocated... More

My friend and I did not stay at this hotel, but paid 150 B each to use the swimming pool - which is really a lot of money for a dirty looking pool surrounded by dusty tables, manky deckchairs and an abandoned bar. The towels we were given (included in the price, but we had to search for them, by... More

Budget price hotel, wifi very poor, breakfast not up to much, rooms okay but could do with a makeover. Close to the shopping mall, choice of many restaurants nearby. Despite the issues, I would stay there again.

We chose this gorgeous property mainly due to its location to the popular Central or "Cent on" as said in the Thai language which is a huge shopping mall. It is close to many restaurants and nightlife in Chiang Mai. The included breakfast was not up to par, the Internet in room 207 did not work 1/2 of the time... More

This hotel is a 10 minute tuk tuk ride from the center and is looking for some money to be spent on it.The hotel food is mainly aimed at the Asian tourists. There is shopping mall next door but very little else

It was a nice atmosphere inside and around the hotel. We arrived late, around 8pm and most places around the hotel started closing at 9pm. Wished this places closed later. Also took off early at 6am in order to see the sun rise. Did not stay long enough to remember much about this hotel and the room, however, I do... More

The room was very dusty and didn't seen to be cleaned. room service was pathetic I asked for 2 fried eggs(based on what is mentioned in their menu card) I am served with 8 fried eggs. What logic do you have ?? How do you think a person can have 8 fried eggs?? The bathroom towels were torn on the... More

stayed in this hotel from 27th to 30th of Dec. 1) The rooms and bathroom is of a good size. it was confortable enough. 2) The windows overlooked another building and thus had no views. 3) kinda dark within the room. 4) breakfast selection was so-so. okay if you are not very picky. 5) concierge was quite helpful. hotel transportation...
