Once again I stayed at the Amora Tapae. I was made to feel like family. My 3 friends stayed with me and all said the love the place and that they were treated like friends. Yes, the beds are hard but they are very good for bad backs. My friends are now going to change their beds at home. The... More

Can you believe that the hotel furnishes their rooms with a box spring only with no mattress! When I asked the hotel manager about this she replied - "Yes, many people complain about this". We would never stay there again.

1,500 with tax, svc chg, breakfast included. We are residents of Thailand but our first time to Chiang Mai. I got the impression this property may have been the cat's meow 10 or 15 years ago - not sure how old it is actually, just seemed a bit "past it" was all. Location is good, on the east side of... We stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights as recommended by friends. We were happy with the room was tidy comfy and clean. The free internet didn't work in our room which was a pain for us as we needed it for business so that was not a plus! As for the breakfast we were a wee bit disappointed in... More

The hotel is indeed pretty dated as stated in other reviews on here. It is conveniently located right around the corner of Old City, near a Starbucks and plenty of restaurants and shops. The toilet was leaking when we stayed there. I brought this up to the front desk and they claimed to have fixed it but as soon as... More

I arrived in Chiang Mai without having booked a hotel for my 3 night stay. It was stressful finding a hotel. On advice from a friend I checked out the rooms before confirming. On arrival at Amora you will be blown away by the lobby/foyer, its spectacular. Having read the advice on trip advisor I requested a look at the... More

I was pretty unimpressed when I arrived, and I maintain, I will not book through a Thai booking agent ever again. The foyer looked amazing, but when I got to my room I was a little bit disappointed. The carpet was worn, the bathroom was a bit dirty (to give them credit they did give me a very early check-in).... More

Located in the centre of Chiang Mai by the old city moat and less than 5 minutes walk from the Tapae Gates and about 15 minutes walk to the Night Market. The suites are pretty spacious with very good Wi-Fi connectivity. Breakfast is a good spread of continental and Thai choices and each room is provided with a good bar... More
