The People Palace is a somewhat extravagantly named, but perfectly acceptable hotel, set close to the centre of town and close to amenities. The staff have been friendly and pleasant, the rooms perfectly acceptable, and cleaniness good. All in all, a solid hotel which serves its purpose.

Located 1km east of the old city wall is the handily located Peoples Place 2 hotel (the one not on the corner.) Pleasant and clean room. Breakfast was ok too. There are lockers for valuables near reception if required. (bring your own lock.) Anusan night market is only 100m away. Around the corner on Sridonchai Rd there are reliable ATMs... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a trek, whilst touring Thailand. Be aware there is People's Place 1 & 2, we stayed in 2, which I would say is an upmarket backpacking 'hostel'. It's very nice, clean & bright rooms with private bathrooms. Staff were efficient at check & whilst they didn't engage in much conversation/small... More

The rooms are clean but nothing fancy and breakfast was really ordinary. The Wi-Fi was terrible unless you sat halfway down the main staircase, and to add insult to injury you have to pay for it. The staff were nonchalant and check in was a pain as they demanded passports and departure cards unlike other hotels The hotel's saving grace... More

We stayed at People Place 2 a couple of times during our SE Asia trip, the first time in a standard room, the second time in a deluxe room. The rooms were good, especially the second one ( no surprises!). However the staff on reception were quite surly and the breakfast was very ordinary. Overall worth staying if you are... More

Good hotel for it's price. Clean room. Good Location , close to night Market and Anusarn. Only minus is that the safe deposit boxes are at the reception and needs your own padlock. They are not real safe deposit boxes but more like lockers. Friendly staff

Although very clean and quite comfortable, this hotel is getting a bit old and tired and is definitely overdue for a re-vamp. Located just behind the Anusan night market is also a huge plus. This smallish market has a good selection of restaurants as well as many little food stalls, that sell tasty Thai food at unbelievably cheap prices. Also,... More

Average hotel- nothing bad about it really, but nothing special either. Comfortable, good AC, let us check in early which was nice. Wi-Fi is extra ($2). Location is a but far from city center but near night market.

This is an average hotel. On the positive side we turned up late in the day and managed to get a room last minute. The downside of the room was the smell of stale cigarettes and the poor A/C. The upside of the room was it was clean and tidy and the hotel is located very close to the Chiang... More

This hotel is simple and does not offer any good deals with breakfast or wifi, but it was comfortable and a good base for visiting Chiang Mia's various attractions. Close to seven-elevens, massage places, restaurants and laundry services. No pool. Had to pay extra for breakfast. Comfortable beds and easy to find. Were unable to put through an international call.
