This is the first time ever I write a review about anything. Thats because this isn't just anything. I have considered this place my home while I was in Chiang Mai area. I have spend about 4 weeks here, in total. I came back 3 times. Where to start, where to start....... First off, the owners: Tony and Oil, are... More

I recently spend 3 days here and i couldnt have asked for a better experience! Tony and Oil were so accommodating to everything i needed from tours, local information, bike rentals, medical advice.... just the friendliest people ive met so far on my trip. I would highly recommend this hostel if you want a nice relaxed vibe where meeting people... More

The owners are absolutely great and they play a huge part on what made my stay at this hostel a great one. They are very helpful, speak great English and it's nice to just have a convo with them. The dorms were good with lockers for each bed, showers were hot and had good pressure. Wifi was working well most... More

I've stayed here for 2days as a small stop. I didn't pay much for the dorm but the beds where good to sleep upon. Location is great, 5,10minute walk to the center or nightbazaar. Only downside was that you've had to be in before 2am. Keep that in mind and you'll be fine.

I stayed here for 3 days and it was a great experience! If you're coming to Chiangmai, you must stay :D Great hosts and the dorm rooms are very affordable! Make sure you speak to Tony and he sort you out with everything you need!

The owners are friendly and helpful, but that is the only good thing I can write about the guesthouse. The room and bathrooms where dirty when I arrived and didn't get cleaned in the next 3 days. I feld uncomfortable so put my stuff on the floor and in a dirty locker. In the most bathrooms it was impossible to... More

I have just stayed at this hostel and I can say I really enjoyed my time there and I was sad to be leaving. At 120 baht a night, I did not expect much more than a bed to sleep in however this place delivers a lot. I was lucky in that I was the only person in my 6... More

If you are thinking about sleeping in the dorms, dont. They are cheap, but thats because as soon as you shut the door and hang out in the room for an hour, its unbearable. I had to use a cold, wet towel as a blanket just to get me through the night. However, the family that owns it is wonderful.... More

I have stayed here over the Songkran period and it turned out to be an amazing place. We had lovely staff member and very helpful with any questions I had. Its a nice place to meet people, and its location is very close to the centre. The restaurant part has very good food and I was their Number 1 fan... More

I've spent the last two Songkran (water festival) holidays at Chiang Mai Backpack House. Both times I'm amazed by how close of a family feel you receive from the staff. The guests usually join together for events, meals, parties, etc. A great place to go. The owner and his family will make sure you are taken care of, not ripped... More
