The Rim really is in a nice location. They offer a nightly shuttle to the market which saves you about 150 Baht in transportation and finding your own way back is super easy because every taxi or tuk tuk driver knows the place. In fact, it is walking distance from the weekend market if you enjoy a nice stroll. The... More

We're completely surprised at the rating and the reviews of this hotel. It is hardly a 5-star, more like 3. The rooms are large but very dark and run-down and beds are hard. We had reserved for 5 nights but wanted to leave after the first because we were unhappy. We had extreme difficulty as they wanted us to pay... More

The traditional design of this hotel enhances the experience of being in old Chang Mai. You can almost imagine you are a traveler on the silk road. Placed on the edge of the canal and old city wall, close to the Airport and within walking distance of the many and varied temples contained within the old city. Large rooms, peaceful... More

The Rim is a small hotel with a lovely Thai feel to the place. our bedroom overlooked the pool and was nice and spacious. The bathroom included a walk in shower and separate bath tub and also included toiletries. There was a modern large TVs, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The only down side was the shower which... More

Although you can't walk everywhere from this hotel, there is always a Baht Bus waiting out front to take you anywhere you need. The service is excellent and the rooms are truly beautiful. Our bathroom was enormous, with separate shower and jacuzzi tub, plus a separate dressing area. The room was split into to areas (a Junior Suite, I think),... More

I have booked my second trip to Chiang Mai without knowing it had somehow coincided with the Spring Flower Festival, an annual affair held the first weekend of every February. Our flight had arrived on time and three (yes, three!) Hotel staff were waiting for us, happy to know that you are in safe hands! After a mere 10 minutes... More

Stayed in early Jan. The place had everything you wanted without being overly spectacular. The rooms were a good size, we were lucky to be situated on the bottom floor right outside the pool, so could just jump from our deck into the pool. The bathroom was really good, had all the essentials and was very clean. Though one criticism... More

We stayed for 2 visits - in between we did a 2 night trip to north west Thailand. We had a deluxe room and a superior room. Both were excellent - large and comfortable (beds large but somewhat hard but typical of Thailand). There could become noise from street or pool area and some from people in corridors - but... More

My husband and I stayed at the Rim resort for 3 nites recently and were very happy with the location, being in the old city of Chaing Mai. Returning to the hotel after a busy day was delightful, it is very peaceful. We would definitely stay here again, but there are a couple of things. It would be very helpful... More
