Nice hotel that goes out of the way to make you feel welcome. The rooms were nice and the resort is located in the old city. Definitely recommend this place. Liked the fact that they gave out free protective pouches for our cellphones and wallets during Songkran along with free shirts. Don't expect the amenities of a five star hotel... More

We really enjoyed our stay at The Rim Resort. The rooms are very nicely done, cozy and with every possible amenity. Kind of random, but I was obsessed with the soap - it smelled so good! The staff was wonderful and incredibly accommodating. When we first arrived and were shown our room, my husband was a bit disappointed because he... More

I stayed here with my wife and her mother for 4 days. We really enjoyed coming home from a long hot day of exploring and taking a quick dip in the tree lined pool. It was refreshing and invigorating and it was also a good place to meet other fellow travelers and share notes. The rooms were very large and... More

Definitely our favourite accommodation I our round-trip through Thailand! Very clean, beautiful setting (especially the pool in the quad), most lovely staff(!!), very convenient location and still very quiet, most of all very personal! Hoping to see this place again done time!

Positives: Helpful staff, nice quiet location but near enough to most areas, beautiful building, small cosy pretty pool, sizeable clean room Negatives: so many mosquitos in the pool area. Some mosquitos in the room. Breakfast is so so.

The hotel has good location. Lobby small with helpful staff. Design and decoration very beautifully done. Rooms size big, bath clean, linen clean too, bed ok. Things not ok, water pressure was low (below 20psi), not good for a hotel. Bathtub hot water not hot enough. Air conditioning not cool enough. The worst is there are mosquito everywhere. Luckily i... We stayed here for 4 nights on our first time to Chiang Mai. The hotel itself is in a great location and really clean. The staff at the front desk and breakfast were fantastic. You can hire a push bike directly from the hotel for 50 baht a day (less than $2 AUD) & ride literally all over the old... More

Maybe my other hotels during my trip to Thailand spoiled me, but even though my stay was pleasant at The Rim, I would not return. The pool is very nice and the adjoining restaurant is tasty. However, the overall experience was nothing special. They charge you for the mini-bar, the beds are a little too hard for my taste, and... More

The Rim is a clean and quiet place amid a bustling, high energy city. It is located inside the old city wall. The Rim provided transport from the airport and to the Saturday market. The helpful staff arranged a cab to Baan Tawai. Breakfast was a good start but not elaborate. Fried rice, noodles, breads, cereal, fruits, and eggs. Room... More

+ good location: close to the airport and shopping mall, a quick tuk-tuk ride from mostly every location in the downtown or riverside. Average ride will cost from 40 to 100 THB depending on where are you going, and the driver usually waits for you to go back (for free). Metered taxi is hard to find in Chiang Mai, so... More
