Price points are very high for the rustic neighborhood feel, so be cautious which rooms you book. We had a large group and 2 of the 4 rooms had no hot water for 4 nights. It was going to be repaired everyday and never was. Less of an issue was 1 room with no safe, internal doors that did not... More

This place is lovely - the staff are so nice, and serve up some awesome Thai food for breakfast. The accommodation is excellent too - surrounded by trees and nature (even thought it is right in the middle of Chiang Mai's 'Old City'. I loved waking up each morning to the sounds of the birds in the trees. Highly recommended!

Where to even begin about Baan Boo Loo? This place is so special. My husband and I spent 2 nights here during our visit to Chiang Mai and stayed the open air room. The service is impeccable and you truly feel like you are part of one big family with the other guests and staff. We did not realize our... More

Great location, people and accommodation. A truly unique part of our Thai holiday. the rooms are not typical hotel room decor but provide a sanctuary after or before trekking. Stay a couple of nights, you won't regret it. I believe the name means easy and relaxed home.

My wife and I first went to BaanBooLoo in December 2013, and when we decided we were going to go back to Thailand in December 2014, we knew we were going to go back to BaanBooLoo. This time we had a different room that was lovely (all the rooms are), and the breakfast was delicious too. BaanBooLoo's property is really... More

We arrived as a family of 14 (reunion from around the world ages 16 - 85!) on 31st Dec 2014 and stayed 5 nights - would have loved it to have been more as there was so much more to see and do. Every one of us absolutely LOVED our stay at Baanbaaloo. This is a totally unique experience in... More

Our family spent five days over Xmas at this wonderful guest house. Orn was a great host and can organise any excursion you wish and offers plenty of advice about the area. We stayed in the Treehouse for the first night and then it was booked by another family so we swopped to the Lanna Rice Barn and loved both... More

Greeted by Orn upon arrival and the welcome drink has taste of pandan leave which is very refreshing. We travelled to Chiangmai in mid December with 2 children age 7 and 10. We stayed in the Grand Balcony Lanna style Room. We're very blessed that we are able to book this room because I understand that this room is quite... More

Perhaps the best hospitality we have ever seen. We arrived late and our driver was waiting with the BBL sign. Upon arrival, the owner insisted on making us a very delicious dinner that was brought to our room (such a great gesture for jet lagged guests). The staff also arranged for awesome spa appointments and highlights to see/do in the... More

Before travelling to Chiang Mai, we were thinking about whether to stay at Le Meridien or BaanBooLoo because they were in there same price. (Around 10k thai$ back then for 3 nights). Le Meridien is more guaranteed american standard hotel with no big mistakes, but we chose to take a chance to feel local. We were proven right that it... More
