Our stay here was okay. The staff was friendly enough but they don't go above and beyond. Rooms were clean but very outdated and worn, making them appear dingy. We still had a great time in Chiang Mai though.

Location wise: this hotel is only 5 mins away from the airport. But it's a bit further away from the crowd in city center & old town Breakfast: they have bread & cereal & some fresh fruits + 4 choices of hot breakfast daily ( fried rice, omelette, 2 kinds of egg dishes) Rooms: we had stayed at the fan... I´ve chosen the hotel because of its traditional architecture. Unfortunately it seems it has had a better past. The facilities are totally unkept, the garden seems as it has no gardener for ages, people hang their clothes outside the rooms as if they were in a refugee camp, the staff is careless, it is dirty, no infarestructure to use the... It was a nice stay for the first few days in Thailand. Beautiful wood architecture and green garden! There was much noise from frogs and other animals but I thing that's normal? Pool was nice to swim in and breakfast was oke.

We stayed for more than a week and loved the Baan thai experience. The hotel was chosen because of its traidtional teak architecture, and lived up to our expectations. It is the perfect place for you to holiday if you want to stay away from the crowds. I think what makes the hotel truly wonderful is its tranquility and the... More

Nice green scenery and garden surrounding the hotel. However, the wooden hotel has some suprises.. the wooden floor is like a drum.. guests with heavy footed or childrens running can be heard thru your room. Noises from other room can easily penetrate your room as the walls are thin, Bathroom facility is so so.. water pressure is low, hardly can... More

Ok it is cheap for a night but this is to shabby for us. The room is ok however it is warm, dark and looks very dirty. Probably it is not that dirty but it simply looks that way and then automatically you get that feeling. Well and the beds?? We had the feeling there was mattress at all on... More

Stayed at Baan Thai Resort for 3 nights, room was OK although a little old fashioned. Pictures are outdated, it's not that great. "Restaurant" was a real disappointment, even for serving breakfast it was below what we expected. There were tables at one end of the room and nothing at the other end. No decoration and toilets broken. Needs a... More

1- Promotional pictures are misleading 2- Installation in a bad shape; no comfort at all 3- Management kind & helpful (as the whole staff indeed), but totally incompetent 4- Breakfast not even poor - but just crazy 5- Price: cheep, but still to much!!!

The promotional pictures of this 'resort' are very misleading and were surely taken years ago. This place is not a resort, it's more akin to a nice backpackers hostel. The old wooden buildings creak in pain at having been neglected for so long and the place very much has an overall feeling of somewhere that has rather been overlooked for... More
