First went to Julie's Guesthouse but was already fully booked. Went to JJ's Guesthouse, only 100 baht a night for a dorm. The garden in front of the hostel is nice to meet other people and most of the time crowded and you can buy different kind of drinks. On the other hand the staff is very, very, very rude... More

As everyone is saying on here, the staff are terrible - incredibly unhelpful and rude. But a dorm for 100 baht a night is pretty good going. Wifi only works downstairs and there's no toilet roll but it's good enough when on a budget. Divas hostel is just around the corner for cheap and nice food and better staff.

Only stay here if there's nothing else available as it was for us. Spend a little extra and after a bit more looking you will find a nice quiet place close by. The staff are in for business only so there's no friendship made, the ugly fat woman on the tour desk complained when we took our laundry elsewhere (they... More

Staff really need to up their game, bloody miserable bunch. Rooms are so noisy , stayed 2 nights and barely made it a hour without being woken up by talking/laughing/footsteps etc. Place is reasonably clean but not much else going for it. Avoid if you can.

Have the same opinion as most with this guest house. Tried Julie's Guesthouse but it was fully booked. Compromised and settled for JJs as it is right next door. Paid 450baht per night (may have bartered it down a bit) for a room for 2 with AC and bathroom. Wifi is low range so have to sit outside downstairs with... More

Staff is unfriendly. The dorm room it's ok, not smaller then other guesthouses's dorm rooms in Thailand. No toilet paper no hot water and the toilet in the room smells. The Mattress is hard and really uncomfortable. No wifi in the room, just outside in the veranda downstairs with all the Mosquitos around you. I can't say it's the dirtiest... More

I landed in Chiang mai during a particularly busy weekend and this was the only place with a vacant room that I could find. Was quite relieved to find a room. As for the room no window, no balcony, no toilet paper, no soap, no nothing. The walls were paper thin and I would get woken up every time someone... More

like many others (im sure) i was hoping to sty at Julie Guesthouse but it was all booked. i've been in dorms for about 2 weeks of my travels so i booked a single room at JJ (350 baht). it definitely did the trick in giving me a clean/private/comfortable space, but the general atmosphere of the hostel/guesthouse kind of sucked.... We stayed on the second floor and contrary to all previous posts, we didnt have any problems regarding the noise. Rooms are nice, there is a hot shower, the balcony isnt really a balcony but i wouldnt expect stuff like that for 350bath. All in all its been actually quite nice.. Dont know about the rudeness of the staff but... More
